I'm curious, does this work with the latest unofficial skyrim patch?-- primarily the one that patches up resto glitching.

I play on Xbox, so I really couldn't tell you. This doesn't loop Fortify Restoration, but it does make use of the fact that Fortify Restoration potions buff all Restoration effects — which includes enchantments on worn gear. If the Unofficial Patch changes the way enchantments behave, and/or the parameters of the Fortify Restoration potion effect, then it might not work.

I just tested and unfortunately it isn't possible. Shame :(

Try the Revert Fortify Restoration Fix of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch by Belthazor82 and load it after the patch.

Hello sir! I just wanted to quickly ask you if I should do the Main questline before or after the companions and all of the other ones. Or start the Main quest and stop somewhere in the middle maybe? Idk...you tell me. Thanks sir.

It's really up to you. It's been over a year since I play tested this build, but I don't see why either way couldn't work. It might be better to start the main quest first, if for no other reason than to get an early head start on collecting dragon souls via random encounters. But if you do the Companions first, you'll get some valuable experience and access to useful gear early on, so you'll be better prepared for fighting dragons when you do start the MQ.

There's no right or wrong way to approach it, so just do whatever appeals to you more. You could even just go back and forth between the two.

+1. Very nice build, I should give it a try. But I expect it is be a bit over-powered isn't it?  Why you don't use simply the restoration potion stack effect+amulet of talos? Thus you wouldn't have to take care if the blessing is over.

It can be overpowered for sure, but you can adjust for that by modifying your difficulty, which shouts you use, whether your temper and/or enchant your gear, etc.

I prefer this method to the restoration loop for several reasons:

    1. It feels less inherently exploitative in nature (IMO) when you don't loop the effect.

    2. This method requires more preparation/training, making it feel more like you "earned" it.

    3. This method yields exactly 100% fortification. Looping is far less precise.

    4. The need to go back and reapply the blessing adds a bit of limitation to counter the overpowered nature of the build, without being too much of a hassle.

The build is very fun to play as atm, and it'll get even better once I get 100 enchanting. Just a couple of questions

You said how Ebony Mail's effect makes Theives Guild easy, so do you suggest doing Theives Guild at level 30? Because you need to be level 30 to get the Ebony Mail.

Do I need 100 alchemy or any perks in Alchemy to create the Restoration potion? Or just 100 enchanting with 4 pieces of fortify alchemy?

    Anyways +1

You need max Alchemy and max Enchanting with all relevant perks to make the 150% Fortify Restoration potion required to completely eliminate the Shout cooldown. However, you can still make solid potions to drastically reduce the cooldown before you finish leveling/perking thoe skills.

It's been a long time since I played this character, but I think I pretty much just ran through the Companions to get some combat experience and gear, then power-leveled Alchemy and Enchanting to 100 via Hearthfire and that glitch where you give a follower a stack of empty petty soul gems and a weapon of soul trap, and let him kill a single wolf. Then all of the gems will fill, and are ready for grinding.

If you don't like using tricks/glitches like that, just make a weapon with soul trap, grab a stack of empty gems (Petty is cheapest/easiest to find in bulk, but any combination works) and just go to town. You should need around 200 filled Petty gems to reach 100 Enchanting, assuming you recharge your weapon and disenchant gear regularly.

Getting Alchemy and Enchanting to 100, along with the combat experience from running through the Companions early on, should get you past level 30 for the Ebony Mail (and therefore, the Thieves Guild). At that point, you can also use Alchemy and/or Enchanting to further buff your stealth skills for the TG. Otherwise, you're all set to go unlock Shouts to add to your arsenal.

If you don't like grinding and/or power-leveling, you can totally play this more naturally and just make better Fortify Restoration potions every few levels. I just personally preferred to treat the crafting skills as set-up and knock them out with a few hours of busywork, which gave me access to the endgame skillset much more quickly.
