Ah okay yeah that would be nice. Anyways I am looking forwards to seeing the new stuff you are going to add.

Master of the thuum, probably would've made more sense to be a nord... Considering bretons have no relation to dragons or the voice what so ever.

And yet any race may become a dragonborn.  The Greybeards are unique to Skyrim, but that does not mean that the Thu'um is reserved for Nords alone.  Otherwise, anyone who ever played through the main quest on a non-Nord character "wasn't making sense."  The events of Skyrim's main quest transcend any cultural traditions — they are foretold in the Elder Scrolls, whose power trumps simple racial traditions.

You can absolutely play this guy as a Nord if it makes you more comfortable; I did in fact specify as much in the build, and noting that I *personally* chose to play as a Breton.  However, I don't buy the idea that Nords are inherently better suited to using the Thu'um than other races, regardless of whether or not their traditions involve dragons more than other races.  And even if they are better suited to it, I'd argue that the power of the Elder Scrolls justifies a departure from those norms.  Fair answer?

EDIT - Just a general note: I did add the armor image that I mentioned in a comment to Zach above.  In my current playthrough, I'm at the point where I have 100% Fortified Shouts, so I'm just collecting words of power for more combo tests.  I'll make the final perk spread image once I'm sure I've exhausted all possible paths.

Correct, Easily. The Tsaesci can use shouts (called the kaia) and most likely the Khajiits as well (if you shout near the caravans, they'll sometimes shout "The voice of the Mane!", though that could just be an expression).

True. I would choose a nord, mainly for RP reasons.

Thanks man. :)  And thanks to everyone else who liked and/or commented as well!

Still working on unlocking shouts in my latest playthrough.  I've only had about an hour of free time to play between now and my last comment.  Also considering adding an optional endgame variation.  I was originally thinking of making a full, unrelated build based around the idea of Apotheosis (fusing the Apotheosis elemental staff from Oblivion with the literal definition of transcending mortality and embracing divinity).  But my plan for that build ended up looking very similar to this guy, just with Destruction, no Alchemy, and not focused around Shouts.  All three of those differences can easily be adjusted for to make a great alternate path for this build though...

Pretty much it would involve switching the armor to Nordic Carved + Zahkriisos mask, and swapping greatswords for warhammers.  Also picking up the elemental enchanting perks, as well as 2/2 Augmented for all three elements.  Destruction itself wouldn't be used extensively in combat, just for associated benefits that denote elemental mastery.  I'd enchant a ring with 50% Frost/Fire Resist, to complement Zahkriisos's Shock Resist.  Those stack with Magic Resist, which, after a Breton/Lord combo, and Agent of Mara, would put you around 85% cumulative elemental resistance.  The Fortify Shouts would allow for a greater focus on elemental shouts as well.  I'm actually doing a lot of that stuff with my current playthrough.

Would you guys want to see something like that added here as an alternative endgame path, or should I flesh it out more and make it its own build?

I would like to share that I am currently playing a similar build on my latest gameplay. I am following your 100% shout cooldown idea, but instead of heavy armor, I am playing a 0AR build, only wearing mage hood, boots and novice robes (I love the look of those robes, and also they look similar o the header image you've used).

As soon as I reached Enchanting 100 and made my full alchemist set I reset it which gave a lot of perks for spending at skills which I will use in the future to improve shouts (Stability, Augmented Flames/Frost, Twin Souls). I am now focusing on obtaining extra shouts as well.

When you get the 100% shout cooldown the game starts to get quite fun! Anyway, I wanted to share this and also said that your build is one of my top three favorite builds of all times

Wow, thanks, that means a lot to me!

I was thinking about it today, and really Enchanting isn't actually *necessary*, it just makes things much simpler.  It's technically possible to get four different pieces of 25% Fortify Alchemy items in random loot when you get to a high enough level, but you'd probably have to level up Enchanting to actually get to that level in the first place.  "Legendary-ing" Enchanting is a good call.

Though, for the build I've presented here, you really don't have to worry about those perks being wasted; I'm pretty sure I had a handful of "extra" unspent perks for most of my playthrough after power-leveling Alchemy and Enchanting.

There are a lot of good looking unarmored outfits in the game.  I think my favorite mage robes are probably the Apprentice ones (they'd also look a lot like the set in the header image).  I'm thinking about making a personal build (i.e., not writing it up for the blog) that would combine elements from this build as well as my latest, the Montalion.  Not gonna post it because it's too similar to these, and others on the site, and because it'd probably be heavily inspired by Brandon Sanderson's "The Way of Kings."  It seems like the group tends not to look too kindly on builds inspired by books/films.

But yeah, this is a pretty flexible build.  I'm glad you've been able to find a similar style that suits your preferences.
