Character Build: The Revakriid

I think Revakriid is fine, but if you're not satisfied, you can refer to the list of words here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Language

Hi, how do you fortify the shouts (i'm a little confused) is it a enchantment?

The Amulet of Talos and Blessing of Talos each come with a "Fortify Shouts" effect (magnitude 20%).  This effect reduces shout recharge time.  e.g. with just the Amulet of Talos, you get 20% faster shout recharge time.  A shout that normally takes 60 seconds to recharge will recharge in 48 seconds: (60 * (1 - 0.2)) = (60 * 0.8) = 48 seconds.

This build takes advantage of the fact that Fortify Restoration potions apply to enchantments.  By combining the Amulet of Talos (20%) with the Blessing of Talos (20%), and a Fortify Restoration Potion (147%), you get the following: (20% + 20%) * (1 + 147%) = (40% * 2.47) = 98.8%.

If you apply that 98.8% Fortify Shouts to the same 60 second shout as used in the first paragraph, you'll find that the shout recharges in less than one second: (60 * (1 - 0.988)) = (60 * .012) = 0.72 seconds.

Could you possibly do a perk build using "Skyrim-Re" the mod? Because it redoes pretty much all the perks/skills.

    Much appreciated if you do,

This looks like an interesting build and I would definitly try it out, though the investment in alchemy can be a pain (trust me, I know... my spell cloak build was heavy alchemy).

However, seeing as how it focuses on alchemy and blessings purely for a thumm based combo, if you don't mind, I would like to try out a non melee based version focusing on spells.

If you're ok with it, I will try to flesh it out and make it a part of my "Dark" build types...oh yeah, also a +1 for me cause i like this concept.

Wow man, I was asking Mason yesterday if he felt that mostly everything has been done concerning builds and now I stumble on that one. I never thought of using shouts as my main weapon and I must say that it's pure genius! I have a long list of builds I want to try, some are mine, some were found on this site, but this one will probably figure on top of that list.

    Awesome work! +1

Haha, I did this with a "Wulfharth"-esque build before. Had a dagger on my hip but I barely had to draw it. It makes you feel bad ass when your walking (literally) on a bridge with a swarm of blood thirsty... Well in this case Solitude guards, just to demolish them by uttering a few words. Gotta say I used Whirlwind sprint alot when in battle with this build, reminded me of the boots of blinding speed haha.

Hey, sorry for not answering this sooner; I thought I had replied, but apparently I didn't. Unfortunately, I play on Xbox, and therefore I am unable to try that mod.

Thanks everyone for getting this up to 30 likes.  If only it had happened a few days earlier, then I'd have gotten my first Legendary build.  Ah well, maybe one day. :p  I don't know whether I ever mentioned this before, but this build was originally going to be a vampire.  If you're interested in rolling that way, you can actually drop Enchanting altogether: with Necromage, and maxed Alchemy, you can achieve ~100% Fortify Shouts without Fortify Alchemy enchantments.  (Well, you might need a single ring, but you can make that with level 15 unperked Enchanting.)  I might try a build that uses that.  I was also thinking of looking into the possibility of a vampire that uses both Alchemy and Enchanting, but ONLY the Blessing of Talos, which would allow the player to wear any necklace, and not have to return to a shrine after transforming into VL form.

I gotta be honest, this build probably spoiled me a bit.  I just can't have fun playing the game without being able to Shout any time I want.  It's seriously cool...

Ingenious build; you've created a true dovahkiin, a build focused on the 'Thu'um'.  I'm glad this was showcased, else I may have never seen it.
