I really like this build. It was a very good read, sadly I won't be able to play this as I'm working on my own build, but I'm going to try and find time for this!

P.S- Opening lines are very catchy... it really hooks the reader, makes them want to read more.

Yeah, more like wakizashi. Its funny, you sit down, and that blade is stabbing the floor, but when you swing it it's like you're wielding a pencil :D This is my first build going two handed, so I must just naturally gravitate to a one-handed distance. Heaven help me, though. Even with all its idiosyncrasies, I love that blade :D

I fully understand. I love builds, but rarely ever plan on playing them... too many things pop up. Any hints as to when your build will go public?:) Thanks for the input on the backstory; it's nice to know that it works... backstory isn't everybody's cup of tea, and I was afraid I was cramming it down people's throat.

Personally, I'd play this One-Handed with a Blade's Sword. I'd be able to whip out spells with out sheathing, it offers the same look and stats (minus enchantment), and I'd probably pick up enchanting to be a bit more 'mystic'. Everybody has their own style though ;)

It's funny how so many people naturally move toward a ronin type build--it's awfully fun. And thanks for the +1 :)

On Vanilla skyrim...yeah, not that many options. Still even in mage robes, just a personal preference of mine really, go with the adpet robes. The brown robes, combined with the hood, makes the whole "Wandering swordsman" look more believable, than say, i don't know, a circlet?

I think circlets exsist in the game for the elves... the typical lord of the rings type elven mage perhaps?

I love the Ebony Blade.

I really love it.

But all the murder you close friends for more power means that my lonely warrior would never use it...

...Or not? maybe a darker version of the lonely warrior who after dishonoring himself start a fall unto darkness?

You could go dark, or just do what I did... destroy the dark Brotherhood, kill a couple bandits, kill a couple of cannibals, kill a vampire. Blade fully charged! I have a link for info under the"feeding the Ebony Blade" section describing gear. Dark is fun to play, but if you want to keep the LW's honor intact, you can do it and still charge the Blade ;)

Build will hopefully be up sometime in January, depends on my basketball schedule.
