It's incredibly odd that you should say that... I read that they had fixed the reach when they fixed the whole only-perks-with-one handed fiasco, and just last night I went up against a mudcrab (I usually don't waste my time) and had the same result... seemed pretty iffy to me too. I usually get up pretty close when I melee anyhow, but it is VERY pronounced with those freaking crabs :D

For truth in advertising's sake, I may have to edit that part out--I'll dig around and see if I can find out just how long a reach the blade truly gives you.

Haha what if Mudcrabs had the reach of a Warhammer!! I only played with it a little while but I really pride myself on my gameplay tactics and I'm pretty good at judgining distances. The Ebony Blade is HUGE but it's reach seemed pitiful. Short even by sword standards. I was pretty upset about that and it's damage and decided that the weapon is more for flavor. I absolutely love the look! Beautiful/only dai-katana!

Mudcrabs might have that kind of reach, but the Ebony Blade most certainly is more like a dai-katana, reach-wise. I didn't have to dig too deep to discover that the EB has a reach of 1, and a greatsword 1.3... I have edited the passage accordingly. Thanks for keeping me honest ;)

I basically have the same character, but with a Thalmor flair to it. Robes, backstory, anti-Thalmor quests...I even did the part with the (destroy the) Dark Brotherhood. I just never did the Companions. 

Overall, this is pretty solid, +1

Yeah I'm not surprised he had a lot to do with the layout for my Cursed Scholar. He's good at that kinda stuff. I don't like him lol. But really great build! I'm gonna throughly read through it sometime tomorrow!

You mean katana? And yeah, I figured as much. Not trying to harp, I just remember struggling to hit a mudcrab and was very disappointed lol :)

Mudcrabs actually have quite a lot of reach!
