I don't know why people decided he was judged because of his writing style? Look at the Google doc, while there is a "-" comment for self-congratulatory style, there is also a "+" comment mentioning everything you guys said.

wait, these judges don't judge in a group, but rather as individuals? There's not a panel or something they're on? No chat or anything to discuss this as a group? That is a stupid way to govern things.

That was bad wording on my part. What I meant was not all the judges share an exact opinion about everything, but seeing as that's gonna be nearly impossible...
I think what Teccam said is the most accurate, a rubric focusing on things that are more objective.

So to prove that we get a celebratory post about each build in which each judges opinions are clearly seen? No. We get a google doc that appears to have been written by one person.

Well there were plenty of differing opinions on those Google-Docs.
It's the first CB contest ever. Of course it won't be perfect, so I do support you voicing your opinions about it...even though it does sound like you want to murder me a little bit >.>
And I will label all my points if you guys want me to, I really don't mind.
Though it's safe to say I'd rather not judge the coming contests...
Edit: I can't edit the Google Documents anymore.

You didn't "lose" anything, you just didn't place...
What you seem to have ignored is that everywhere I linked those docs it said panel's thoughts. I had the rest of the panel go through each build, and write their thoughts on each of the sections. After that I took those points into account when reading over the builds again to determine the placements. I ignored some of the more irrelevant points (Ben's issues with autoplay music for example). We pretty unanimously agreed on the winners and you don't seem to be able to accept that you aren't one of them.
This whole situation seems to have been taken way out of context. Everyone seems to think that certain people didn't win because of a few irrelevant remarks by panel members in the thoughts docs.

I don't know much about anyone on this site in terms of personality, but I think what is happening here is a misunderstanding.
The comments in the thoughts docs, however true they are, should have been kept between the panel, or if they were to have been released at all, sent to the individual responsible creating the build. I respect how transparent this group of people is, but it's also kind of obvious to me that if there is a comment or thought that a build creator, or his/her fans, would find offensive, it shouldn't have been released to the public.
At this point, people have just taken to trying to find out who said what, and it's definitely just causing people to be upset at each other, when really, the gravity and the brutal honesty that those thoughts contained should have just been released to the build creators, or not released at all.
I love the idea of allowing us to see how judging was done, like with the different categories, but I definitely think that the panel's thoughts staying as just the panel's thoughts could have saved everyone a lot of arguments.
From Snake's perspective, it doesn't matter what was used for judging; moreover, it seems like with those docs just being thoughts, they reveal opinions of Snake, as well as his writing style, that were and are hurtful to him.
From your perspective, Ponty, as well as all the judges, you just wanted to share with everyone your thought processes and have made it clear that you didn't use those thoughts to solely judge any build.
Bottom line: what was said in those docs almost seems to me like unfiltered table talk, and as we all know, if we're going to be honest about someone or his/her idea's behind his/her back, however right or wrong we may be, we should approach only that person about our opinions, not even thinking of releasing what we really think of him/her and his/her ideas to dozens of other people.
