I laughed so unnecessarily hard at this.

I guess I get this complaint, but you're in a game with dragons, undead, and the ability to shoot fire out of your hands. I can accept horns.

Farengar.  Well, when I say Farengar, I really mean the terrible voice actor who sounds like he's struggling read each word.

I swear, every time I start a new character, being forced to talk to Farengar is by far the part of the game that I most dread having to play through.

The inability to betray Maven is what probably irks me most. If anyone deserves a sword to the face its her. She also makes it that much harder to side with the Imperials. Other than that, Legendary mode can be stupidly difficult at times.

Yeah, the bound dagger is great... Until you realise it breaks stealth because it makes noise unlike real daggers.

Oh thank God, I'm not the only one... It's odd because that guy's voice acting isn't actually half bad for some characters. But he often gets put in roles that are unsuited for him. Thonar Silver-Blood comes to mind...

The respect thing is a big one for me. I understand the complexity of incorporating consequences into a game, so I don't ask it. But at least make NPCs recognize the crap I've done in some dialogue? I'm the Guild Master/Arch Mage/Dragonborn! Back the f*** off!

Well, Wagner used them in his plays, also, an opponent could grab the horns and either pull you down, or yank the helmet off. Yeah, it looks cool and intimidating, but still. What I'm led at is armor with spikes, you can't do more damage, or yank a shield from their hands, or rake them across the face with the spikes.

There's a mod for Bound Armor

If you had Horizon and a USB, you could mod

The spikes on the gauntlets should allow you to do more punching damage, knock people's shield out of hand, or rake acros their face

Chris, do use horizon? You mention it at literally every opportunity, but more than once it has sounded like you don't have it, yourself.

I had it on my laptop, then the charger broke, andk my "new" one doesn't have it. Modio also works.

How come you used it on your laptop, couldn't that run regular mods?

If you wear full Daedric armor in front of a Vigilant of Stendaar, he/she will attack you, mistaking you for a Daedra. But I agree, there is not nearly enough distinction. I stand in front of Tulius in stormcloak armor and swing my sword *barely* missing him, and he tells me "It's a nice day with you around"... wth?

Definitely a missing aspect. I usually take a long time to get my character together. I don't want to get the character the way I want them, only to find that there are no challenges left.

I still find challenge on expert.

That's because you are doing less damage, someone should not have to nerf or overpower themselves in order to have a good time. That's one reason I prefer adept, because it gives equal damage. The higher you go, the more enemies turn into damage sponges.

Go and try being a dagger wielding Bosmer on Legendary and make it through Helgen without the HUD on then!

Try playing a character whose only AR comes from a shield, is Unarmored, doesn't use magic, and is on Master, I find challenge in things like Sabercats.

It's less about making the game more challenging as it is about playing the character you want to play, and having it still be challenging. If I'm forced to strip naked and wield a dagger for a tough fight, instead of playing the ebony clad warrior I want to, then something is wrong.

@Ben but it would have to be carefully thought out, not just AI changes, afterall a smart sponge is still just a sponge.
