That's a good idea. I'm playing a Breton as I don't want to play an elf but I want to incorporate magic

You can play whatever you want, I went with nord as a kind of middle finger to the stereotype of nord superstitions of Magic and charging into battle like some brute. Breton is one of the better races for a Demon Hunter and dragonskin will protect you from magic using undead like vampires and dragon priests

Great build mate already started on it, I just had one question I was hoping to get answered.

I'm wondering which armor route I should go with as I'm using Skyrim Redone which changes a lot of perks and the way combat skills behave. I don't think heavy armor is a good option due to 12-16% loss in movement speed when worn, But it really does give strong protection.

Could someone give me some insight on this please?

I love this build. I spent hours looking for a good build that uses bows as a primary weapon. I normally play builds like Nightblades, Hunters or Assassins but get bored just sneaking around using a bow... I know that the seeing the stealth one-shots are fun, but I can't stand the fact that whenever I'm sneaking using a bow that I miss and they automatically know where I'm at. This build changes that, this build is the type of build that makes the players presence known through the sheer awesomeness of being able to withstand full head on attacks while using a bow.

Also I like how this build makes great use of the Crossbows from the Dawnguard DLC and would Stendarr's Aura (For 60 seconds, undead in melee range take 10 points of Sun damage per second) be a good restoration spell to use? I noticed you only listed a hand-full of spells that should be used.

Other than that question, This build is awesome and I would love to see more like it. You have a +1 like from me. Also before i forget Congrats on getting this build Legendary (Might be a late congrats but i might as well throw it in there

I would use heavy armor, I have played Skyrim Redone with this character and found that the heavy armor was a god send because you will get hit, and with the ruthless enemy AI it will happen often, the light armor gives you speed and mobility but you pay for that in protection, all unblocked attacks reduce your armor, and unblocked power attacks will be lethal. If you choose to use light armor you will have to A: never get hit or B: kill them before they reach you. With heavy armor you will be able to survive their attack for much longer and most normal hits won't even scratch the paint on your armor once you throw so perks into that tree, also try the Helmless Warrior mod SkyRe version it will let you get the entire light or heavy armor tree by only wear 3 pieces of either type of armor. Hope this helps!

Probably not, I never found that spell very useful, I used Whirlwind Cloak and found a lot more useful, it lasts 60 seconds and has a chance to send enemies flying away from you
