i dont have acces to Mods but im doing fine as is ^^ im building up to the Pickpocket skill Poisoned and my strongest Poison was able to take down a bear in 1 shot ^^ On the Alchemy = Magic part. I would say that The World itself is filled with Magic. Everything contains some Magicka thus certain combinations like Invisibility is possible. I myself try to bring some realism into it like lets say a Fear Poison triggers Halucinations or Paralyses Cramps the Muscels instead of just Poof Magic. ^^

I 'd say it's a bit of both plants have some properties but there is magic in them as well. The reason for that could be because of the light. Remember in ES the sun is a hole that Magnus made while he bailed out so from the light of the sun and the stars there might be magicka spilling down so the plants get magicka in them that way and have their effects amplified. That is also something the Ayleids were researching extensively if I 'm not mistaken the magic contained in the light.

I get what you mean but i wouldnt consider Alchemy Magic. The Magic Schools are pure Magic and run on Magicka. Alchemy has some Magic in it but i wouldnt consider it a Magic School. More like a Science such as Astronomy or things like that ^^

The ingredients themself are Magical since you can eat a Bee to regain stamina but you dont actualy use the Magic yourself when you do Alchemy.

I agree with you that Alchemy is a science. An alchemist isn't a mage, he doesn't use his own magicka, only explores and manipulates the properties of the ingredients the way a RL chemist would with all sorts of chemicals. If you study and use something that is magical in nature it doesn't make you a mage.

Exactly but would the College still be a good place to Study Alchemy? They have a pretty good Alchemy Lab filled with Ingredients.

The College has an Alchemy chamber, and the Archmage practices it, but there aren’t any paid Alchemy trainers there. If you’re looking for masters more divorced from magic, why not travel between Alchemist shops and do their quests? That’ll doubtlessly put you in a place to improve your Alchemy as well as give you access to a lot of the contents of their shops for free.

Yeah like a alchemical pilgramage ^^ bad thing is you need to cast a spell to enter the college ^^

I don't think so. They do have the alchemy lab but that's more likely because every mage has at least the basic knowledge in alchemy and alchemy is widely used in all kinds of magical researches and experiments. But it doesn't go both ways. The College doesn't even have an alchemy teacher. In Skyrim, people who want to learn alchemy become apprentices of alchemists, like you can see in the case of Quintus from Windhelm and Ingun in Riften. In Cyrodiil there probably exists some alchemy-oriented institution, but I doubt it would be a part of a magical one.

It would make most sense as part of a Hunters guild or something along those lines ^^
