Let me just say that it is criminal--absolutely criminal--that this build hasn't reached 100 likes yet. I've already added my +1 to the pile, but I'm only one man. Whoever the nine of you are who haven't liked this build yet, I really have no idea what's wrong with you.

Jin, you animal! You strike me as a guy who hasn't done the whole D&D thing. Yes? Either way, I'm really glad you guys like it as much as I do. I'm more of an in-your-face type player in general but this kept me just as intrigued. You'd know if you purchased the DLC!

Illithids are one of my favorite races in D&D. I think I might roleplay him more in line with his vampirism though, as some Illithids actually -do- become vampires, and even liches called Alhoon Liches, though these are hated and feared by the rest of their society.
Lately there's a rumor in Illithid society that you don't -actually- merge with the Elder Brain when you die. Basically, the brain steals your ideas and knowledge, but your personality and consciousness are consumed. The whole religion and "transcendence" thing are just lies made up by the Elder Brains to sustain themselves on beings of immense psionic ability. (It was just an idea, but D&D has pretty much confirmed that this is ture. Poor tentacled bastards.)
A lot of Illithids think this is true, and so leave and turn to other things. They're not always vampires, some just travel in packs.
But I think I'll roleplay mine as a more "renegade" type of guy.
Thanks for making this!
