Excellent insight J! I did tons of research on these guys for this build and I did read about the alhoon liches and debated whether or not to play it that route. Ultimately, I knew that many on this blog hadn't had much experience with illithids and decided to cover the basics which still supplemented vampirism. I had so much fun with the roleplay of being an illithid. I duplicated Miraak's mask and made an illithid follower, made Blackreach my base of operations, and started storing bodies their for study and sustenance. Eventually I raised a ton of bodies via Ritual Stone, roleplaying that I had brainwashed them, and started ransacking towns and adding to my army along the way. It's perfect for an end-all-be-all invasion. Enjoy the build and let me know how it goes :)

So, just discovered this build, reeks of awesomeness. Like number 96 for ya. I'll definitely try this soon.

A couple questions, did you just run up and grab Lord stone ASAP, or did you start out using the mage stone earlier one? Did you ever use any of the shrines? (25 hp arkay, 20% shout CD talos, etc)

Haha, great! This finally gives me perfect setup for the Undeath Mod that doesn't murder the RP.

Thanks Omega, 100 is nigh! I rocked Mage for awhile, probably up to Lvl 20 because Vampire Lord's Vampiric Drain will be you're main attack and offers no experience so you'll want level those other skills as much as you can. I did pickup the. Talos blessing when it was convenient. Some of your best abilities like MfD, Bend Will, and Unrelenting Force will be accessible more often with the boost to. shout cooldown on top of an Amulet of Talos. Have fun with it bro! It's a fantastic evil controller-type that has tons of tools to manipulate the battlefield :)

This build is awesome and very inspiring. I dont like Illusion at all, but I think I'll give it a try after I have finished writing my own build.

So I have started this build, lvl 16, about to do Diplomatic Immunity. Havn't done anything outside the main story besides enter the College and get some resto training up to 30. Hard part about this build is having no damaging abilities, without a follower, I'd be completely helpless againt undead (which fits, Illithid being afraid of the undead and all) and even human enemies, if there's only 1 standing, best I can do is fear and calm them to keep them at bay and run away. XD

So now I'm wondering if I should next hurry up and start Dawnguard just for that VL drain health before I go ahead and jump on DB DLC stuff. This may be the first build I play that actually makes me finish the DB DLC content, haha.

Right now, my stats probably show 0 kills, because every enemy that died was from frenzy, traps, or Faendel/Lydia. XD

Yes, definitely pickup the VL Drain spell. This build lacks serious firepower until that point. You can actually drop your follow if you wanted cuz Vampiric Drain is just that good. I don't see you getting through Dragonborn without it, especially since followers can't enter Apocrypha. It's actually a short questline of you know what you're doing. I'd avoid most of the Seekers and Lurkers are susceptible to potion-boosted Illusion spells.

Thanks for the advice, I'll do that. Had a bit of trouble getting the robes, I didn't know the USKP changed Thalmor Embassy so they had the hooded version instead of unhooded. Had to use consol commands to get it, dropped a hooded robe to compensate. *sigh* PC users get the shaft on that one.

Why the hell would they patch that? That overhaul is too much for this console peasant. Leave my glitches and exploits alone! :D
