Alright guys, I will say one good thing about them, their outfits are pretty awesome looking. It looks more like a longcoat than a robe though, to me anyway.

They essentially took over after the Oblivion Crisis, they were the only group in Alinor to organize any kind of evacuation and fight back against the Daedra. Now they make the calls in Alinor and take part on the ruling council of all parts of the Dominion.

It was a people backed coup, the Altmer felt abandoned after the crisis, so they supported the Thalmor's bid for independence.

Boomer soldiers in TES... I'd pay to see that!

Seriously though, ESO has a bunch of Khajiit and Bosmer officers

That's the first iteration, maybe the Fourth is different? I mean, I'm pretty sure anyone from that time is either long dead, or old as Shiz (in Elven years)

Yeah, kind of a good reason to hate the Thalmor. Wait, why did they kill his family? Were they insurgents to the "noble" Aldmeri cause?

Nope, it's only been about 600-800 years, thet's essentially the equivalent of being 40-50 for the Altmer.

I highly doubt their military structure will change.

    a) Altmer simply don't have enough manpower to support a structure like that

    b) Unique racial contingents will undoubtedly perform much better under a commander of the same race

That doesn't make them evil... a drunk soldier could kill my family *knock on wood* and I wouldn't blame the military, I'd blame the man who did it and I would hold him responsible.

Oh, ESO, ignore that last comment, they're dead yes, but all of the records and histories are still there, for the Altmer it's only been 2-3 generations since then.

The Thalmor purged 2 groups, insurgents and foreign agents, if his family was neither, than they were sadly caught in the crossfire, and hate to say it, but that's war.

Still, I can get why an Altmer craftsman might have the right to gloat over a non Elven one, I mean, an Elf has several centuries to work his craft, but all elves?

So,,would they murder any Altmer found worshipping Talos?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure purging families and whatnot would rustle up the jimmies of a couple people.

The point is, Altmer don't, they never have, and if one was found... all they would have to do is expose it.

You then blame the group who did the purge, it isn't rocket science...

The point is, basically all of the law and crafting techniques were Elven, almost everything in human society can be owed to the elves.

What I'm saying is that he can't be mad at the whole group cause of the purge, that's why I made that last comment...

So your saying the Elves pretty much made humans what they are, after enslaving them?

What I'm saying is most of the tech humans use and many laws, heck, Ysgramor based the Nordic writing system off Elven, comes from the Elves.
