    If you happen to meet a dawnguard member in town it is possible to steal thier cross bow. Although, in the end that might be useless since joining the dawnguard is the only way to get access to crossbow ammunition as far as I know.

    Like your character is basically the Tyrion Lannister or Jon Snow of Skyrim.

    You can get crossbow in the Fort Dawnguard without joining (10 of them in fact). And if you're a vampire you can farm the bolts from the Dawnguard members who attack you

    You can also get crossbow bolts from dwemer constructs.

    These are all true, but not practical for the character I had in mind, It's cool, I'll think of another idea if we choose non-joinable factions

    It'll probably have something to do with non-joinable factions lol but this thread is for brainstorming any future CB Event so feel free to keep adding ideas.
