The trouble with path builds is that I have trouble believing each has been tested to their perk spread level, It casts doubt over certain things. Also, little details aren't documented because of the need to go to the next path like your Ancient Nord Armour wearing Traditional Skald. Without the smithing skills the only Ancient Nord Armour I can find makes the guards comment about my stench. I assume you've found a clean suit of this so it'd have been nice to mention where you found it.

Phil, you can find Ancient Nord Armor on a ghost near Morthal. It appears only at night, as I recall. Kjenstag Ruins, I think the place was called. The armor can also be looted from dragon cultists at Forelhost (though the place is brutal for low level characters)

I was actually going to point out to Forelhost, but you got me . Maybe I should note that to the build itself.
Brutal? Oh come on now, I beat it at level 6 with Deadly Combat enabled (and several health potions).

Deadly Combat probably makes it easier. I remember playing with it, if you're skilled enough you finish off even the toughest opponents quickly. At default unfair difficulty those ghosts rip you to shreds on low levels

Oh. Probably yeah, I have an awfull lot of time to play with the vanillia combat. I still remember hitting a half naked bandit with a battleaxe in the head and doing like 6/100 damage.

Thanks for that, I've met that ghost and followed him to a nearby tomb being looted (?) by bandits but didn't see the Ancient Nord Armour. Do I have to kill the ghost? Make it more dead than it already is, I mean :P

Aye, wards are pretty much the ultimate magicka eaters in vanillia. You just stand there casting the ward for three mintutes until your magicka runs out, and then your opponent decides to throw a firebolt at you. It makes me think if this was an intentional mechanic or just BS.
