People tend to be mistrustful of rangers... they spend a lot of time alone out in the wild looking for trouble, and they have some unsavory connections for information at times. That's where the TG fit in for me... part of the info network.

I think this comment has done more to sell me the look and rp of this character than anything in the build itself. I have a dislike for both the TG and DB because of how they are handled by Skyrim, falling far, far short of the excellence they were in Oblivion, but your ranger has made me want to play through the questline again, if only to get that look. I strongly suggest you put that quote into the build because it is f-ing sweet!

(To be fair, I didn't even like the DB in Oblivion - Lucian Lachance was a git -  but TG was probably the best guild questline in the entire game).

How dare you! Lucien Lachance is the best.

Good point! I spent so much time wandering around killing stuff that it's easy to forget that you are doing the occasional quest (though, like The Companion's questline, I did leave most of them unfinished). I'll sit down and think through what we did and get something up for you within the next day or two ;D

Where the devil have you been for the last three years? xD

Although, I don't think I could get myself to do it now... the masochist in me kind of looks forward to that fracas any more.

I assume you just back yourself up into the sarcophagus and bottleneck them all while you dish out your damage one on one till they're all gone. I guess I've never thought to try it because I'm always terrified of being stuck while a ba-zillion enemies are wailing on me... it's pretty freaking brilliant, though.

I feel you there! DB has always left a bad taste in my mouth. I've only been able to get myself to do it twice... once in Oblivion and once in Skyrim. I always destroy them now :D

I did have that quote (more or less) in an additional paragraph in the backstory bit at the very beginning, but as I looked at it I thought it would be off-putting (too much reading right off). You're right though... I think I'll add a sentence or two into the build intro after the initial backstory blurb.

    Good call! ;D

Finally got around to comment here! Personally I would be tempted to abuse sneak archery a lot, especially with 5/5 Overdraw and Shadow Warrior but, I guess, absence of Quiet Casting makes it harder to pull off?

I like the roleplay evolution and would personally stick with Leather armor combo (although I prefer its male version )

Why Thieves Guild (and especially Nocturnal part) with this character?

They were all just a bit too creepy for me xD

Never, EVER, would have thought to do that... there's so much of this game that I still just don't get :D
