I had asked him if he was going to do an "Arcane Axeman" in his series. He said no, I don't remember exactly but it was basically because he said it was not strong enough.I had never realized how great the BE shout was until now (besides dodging breath attacks that is).

I said the Bound Battleaxe wasn't really viable with Mage Armor as the only defense - not that it wasn't viable at all. Zach's used Ebony Armor with Fortify Heavy Armor enchantments and heavily perked heavy armor tree

I don't reload, so it's a bigger pain for me - too many times I had to search a room until I found my weapon. With the character I played a little before my bound axe character, I had spent over 30 minutes looking (large room) for a disarmed weapon and finally gave up, thinking I'll just get another one. Luckily, while I was leaving I kicked my weapon.
I didn't know about the axe being glass tier - that's still decent though. I, too, sometimes hit my summons, so it is a trade off. But it's also nice to have when the thing blocks a door.

It sucked for me one time because it is was Bloodskaal barrow I believe in a massive room with a river. A draugur deathlord would just wait at the end of a raised walkway and disarm me every time. Even with when I used fus roh dah and other shouts... Every time... It was bad because of my Songbird had a very finite amount of scimitars available so even losing one is terribad.

I wanted to keep a crafting to one skill, I was a bit crafted out on alchemy. Also, even without alchemy by the level 50 I was still generally feeling overpowered. Never once in the playthrough did I find myself desperately lacking. Also in a situation the would possible need a fortify two handed potion or some poison, I could just use berserk.
I can see it working well, but not for me this time.

Currently I'm running a no armor bound weapons build, was looking at mage armor being enough to keep me alive, now you have me wondering if it will work out like i had planned!
