Your Nemesis?

Scary ass tree things? Gnarls? They´re kinda similar to Spriggans from Skyrim when you think about it. Just more...twisted.

Jyggalag was easy in my first time playing Shivering Isles on my PS3.

I would say the Sun as a Vampire in Oblivion.

Well, I meant it on more personal level than just combat. Did you have some feelings regarding all those villains? Or they were just baddies to you?

It is pretty hard to get attached to them somehow. For example, I never had a single thought about Dagoth Ur while I was playing Morrowind. He always seemed too distant.

I have a habit of running into them in bad places >.< once in the middle of His, that town master Aryon runs, and quite a few run ins in the mountains

Another memorable enemy was arch wizard Gothren or whatever his title was. The leader of the Telvanni... Taking on him, his servant, and his dremora pets as a pure mage was just pure hell! I actually even managed to suicide on his reflect spells effect.. Ouch!

Strange, I think all of these will be from Morrowind.

    1. Greater Bonewalkers with their ridiculous Damage Strength ability. Nothing worse than having to drop all your loot and half your armour to go and get it healed off!
    2. Anyone with Reflect Spell. Many unfortunate suicides have been had.
    3. That goddamn Luck-stacking asshole Bosmer in Tribunal that was impossible to hit. That little bugger had health regeneration AND Reflect Spell too!

You know I think Umaril was one of the best villains ever in an open world game. By the time you actually get to meet the guy in combat the game has already made you aware of the scale of history you have with this dude. The pacing in that dlc is superb and the lore is fantastic, everything about it is building up that final confrontation. The quests aren't just passively leading to that moment either as after every one there is the real risk clergy from another church have been slaughtered.

Then when you do meet him he shouts at you in Ayleidoon and it sounds so damn sinister and cool!

Oh yeah, Gaenor! I remember when he came back in full ebony and surprised the shit out of me at the end of Tribunal. We started fighting, me using Trueflame with a big fire enchant and I suddenly realized my health was flying down even though he wasn't hitting me often lol,

For some reason, Umaril hasn´t really left an impression of someone really mighty and evil. I mean, during the quests, you always listen to crap that he can´t die and bla bla bla. You come to end, kill him, then kill him again in the clouds.

I was...emotionless. Might be because I have been interested in Umaril and Pelinal´s lore though.

Can you clarify? It sounds like you're saying you didn't like the battle because you liked the lore...

I think it's pretty cool that he goes down like a punk in the end. The PC had to mantle Pelinal himself in order to beat him this time, yet even then it was Talos who tilted the balance in the Whitestrake's favour.

    Praise him!
