Some of it can be planning, but most good foreshadowing is actually done in post. The real reason foreshadowing exists isn't just to make a peice of writing eligible for high school English critical analysis essays. It's to help ease the reader into future events and plot twists, so that they don't come out of left field.

What do you find is the most efficient form of juggling several characters in a limited amount of chapters. What i mean by that is, say you want different characters to pursue events that occur simultaneously (Thus you don't want too many chapters to cover the same time period, to not make it too confusing for the reader). Do you prefer splitting up one or two chapters and simply allowing multiple characters to take the lead point of view in a single chapter, or do you simply continue with shorter chapters, that have a single POV?

I don't personally do this, but if it were me, I would probably have major events for each character happen in their own chapter, and not-so-important events share a chapter with another POV.

What I tend to do is split the chapter between them.

    U.O.T.W. Chapter 88 Finder's Keeper's

In this chapter I have three separate groups then the final section is where they are all together. You could use the same approach. The key point is to make it clear who's POV it is. I use bars which chars pictures to enforce this fact.

I've seen authors who write chapters that focus on solely one POV, but when the POVs are together or doing things rapidly that need to be seen simultaneously, they'll have multiple POVs in that chapter.

It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. What did you have in mind?

Hey there, I feel a little dumb for having to ask this, but, if I were to make a post for a Long Story, would I have to make the table of contents first? Or would I add it after I did a second one?

Not a dumb question at all, friend. I recommend making it after you've posted at least one chapter, just so you'll have a link to put in it.

Don't forget, though, that you can only make one post per day.

I am having a bit of a problem, criminal scum. I want to write/type a story set in Hammerfell somewhere between 4E 180 - 190 but am concerned if the unfamiliarity (characters, story, lore, etc) will be off-putting.

Can someone help me? I'm writing a story with a khajiit and it's difficult with the way they don't use words like I, We, Me, My, etc.

I just end up using "This one..." a lot... I'd appreciate it if I could get more ideas for how the Khajiit would start convos or speak in such a way.
