This is a draft of the Challenge. I’ll add pictures and clean up the lists etc. when i post the finished version ^^. I'm just looking for opinions on the whole premise of the Challenge. Feel free to question the choices we (me and a friend) made for the skills and suggest your own ideas, we took some time to balance everything for gameplay and roleplay sake but are open to changes (as long as it’s not just “make it that because i like that skill” :D).
Ok here we go.
The Pantheon Challenge
This Challenge is focused around the Aedra and Daedra. You will receive a blessing which will open up certain perk trees and powers for you. It also determines the characters alignment (maybe).
You won't be able to take on quests or wield the Artifact of another divine or daedra, the blessings are designed with the artifacts in mind so to not give one blessing an advantage over the others since not every daedra has a powerful artifact (looking at you Nocturnal). You can also choose if you want to start with the blessing and explain it in your backstory or get it by doing something during the playthrough, like finishing a daedric quest or finding your faith for the divines etc.
Basic Roleplay rules apply but i think you all do this anyway:
- You need to sleep, eat and drink.
- No Fast Travel except for carriages.
- Limited carry weight.
- Limited Lockpicks and Arrows.
Suggest more basic rules if any come to mind ^^.
I was also pondering to add an optional Advanced Roleplay segment with things like, your blessing affects your Personality and such but i don't know how to approach that.
Ok with the introduction and the roleplay done let's get to the actual mechanics.
Recommended difficulty: Adept - Master
Mechanics
This Challenge is Permadeath.
You choose 2 Perk Trees, 1 Offensive and 1 Defensive/Supportive. If the Blessing already provides you with an Offensive Perk Tree then you can only take 2 Defensive or Supportive Perk Trees, this is purely for balance and to encourage you to not make yet another Stealth Archer (you will still be able to do it but without the extra sneak damage more about this below). You can only put points into the Perk Trees you have chosen and the ones your blessing gives to you.
Example: Talos’s Blessing (Yes he is considered a Divine for this Challenge) gives you the perk tree One-Handed, which is considered an Offensive Perk Tree, thus you will have to take 2 defensive or supportive Perk Trees. You can pick 1 Supportive and 1 Defensive or 2 supportive or 2 defensive Perk Trees, just not an Offensive one. In addition, you may only have up to 2 crafting Trees as to prevent overpowered gear.
You also can only use the Perk trees you have chosen, so if you have let’s say a blessing that gives you Alchemy and you chose One-Handed and Light Armor then you won't be able to use Destruction magic or a Bow. The only exceptions to this rule are Speechcraft and skills like it that rank up passively. It’s not like i could forbid you guys from going shopping or building a House ^^.
Some small Rules:
-Lockpicking is available to every character although you may only carry up to 5(?) lockpicks. Choosing Lock Picking as one of your Perk Trees or picking Nocturnal’s blessing will allow you to carry up to 20 picks.
-Staves and Scrolls may only be used by Characters that have access to one of the 5 Schools of Magic or Enchanting.

Ok thats all. I’m looking forward to your suggestions and opinions. ^^
If I understand the rules correctly then the right side of sneak is only allowed with an unarmed character. For example you take that branch as your offensive skill but then you can't have any weapons skills and so can't use weapons, or you take a weapon skill but that's your one offensive skill. That's certainly going to prevent sneak archers.
Ordinator would be interesting with how you've divided some of the skills (like sneak) well really anything that changes the perks will rely on player discretion. Something Ordinator does do is add disease spells to restoration, so that could play into Peryite. Then there's these two perks:
Chalice of Tears - If you are diseased or undead, your Restoration spells are 15% stronger and last 50% longer.
Plague Doctor - Radiate a zone of pestilent death that reduces the poison and disease resistance of enemies approaching within 40 feet by 50% for 30 seconds.
which would also play nice with the idea of a Peryite worshiper.

Yeah i might have overlooked that one, an idea i had was that you can use weapons just not put points into the skill tree. But i'm kinda hesitant to do that since sneak is just so overpowered. You dont really need any perks in one handed to one shot everything in existence. The bow is another story since you only get a small crit bonus. Any ideas to fix that?
Yes mods rely on thr player's on discretion. If you have a mod, that adds enough poison spells amd perks then feel free to exchange Alchemy (poison) with Restoration (poison), as long as you don't overdo it and just add 5 skills to a blessing because it "fits".
Maybe i can add a mod section where i can Show which blessings can be changed with mods.
For example im certain that there is a mod that adds nature spells like a locust swarm and such which is perfect for namira but i can't build everything around that since that would be a middle finger towards players like myself who don't have access to things like Ordinator, Perkus Maximus or Apocalypse.
