Sorry I missed this, Phil. Knoahrik was principally an aesthetic choice, but it's ability is extremely handy for this low-health character. I think the best thing you can do to get worthwhile use of the mask is to try to preserve it's use for melee enemies. Unlike Avoid Death, or Mora's Boon (great ability for this character, btw), it's a constant effect, so if your health gets dangerously low more than once in a combat, the mask may activate more than once. But if an archer or mage is triggering it, the push back effect the mask has is wasted. Against melee opponents, it offers the perfect opening for an attack, and eliminates the need to heal.

Thank you Sir Bors I didn't know that about arrows not activating the special so that's good to know. I've been using the mask with a sword and staff character wearing Miraak's Robes. The whole outfit is so melee-friendly - even more so now I know your archers tip - when armoured by Dragonhide, extended by a fortify Alteration potion. I used Dragon Aspect and I swear I saw an Ancient Dragonborn and a spectral dragon priest reunited for a fleeting moment
So if a character had both Konahrik and Avoid Death, is there any chance they could both trigger, wasting the effect of avoid death? Or is that a one in million which you'd never notice anyway?

Thanks for the clarification, the fault was mine: I misread your original words which made perfect sense now I've reviewed them.
Well Boro, it seems you've started a mini mask revival

Love this build! I'm starting this up right now, mainly because of the Dragon Priests masks motivation and also because I've never really played this kind of character, but I've been really into stealth games recently. Probably going to have some RP involving the restoration and rebirth of the former Gaunt Robes life, to retire him.
+1 all the way

I don't know what it is, but I love the early armor combination! It just feels so Ninja!
Great build, seems like a lot of fun, and awesome to see a Zelda inspired build.
