Might have been why I ditched it in the end. But the Royal Vamp Armour is one of my favourites.

Well, Bonemold and Orcish were Medium Armors in Morrowind, so you could just wear those and lightly perk the heavy armor tree.

I'm fine with just Light and Heavy armor but I would love some legitimate differentiating perks. First off, Windwalker is a cool effect but how does wearing armor make you regenerate Stamina? Reflect Blows? Only viable with Daedric imo. Conditioning: I don't care how much you wear Heavy Armor, it'll never be weightless. Why do the perks cancel out the intended negative effects of armor choice?

You're absolutely right Tec. Those level 100 perks are complete shite. I was very disappointed when all my hard efforts to take hits while restoring health for hours culminated in the Deft Movement and Reflect Blows perks. Blows indeed. Honestly, Mage armor is pretty much the best of them all. No weight @ Lvl 1, can reach decent AR or Max AR, isn't leveled by taking hits, levels faster than armor skills, more clothing options.

You know what I wanted to see? A full suit of dreugh armor! The helmet, cuirass, and shield looked pretty awesome in Morrowind. Could've been a cool medium armor set.

Reflect Blows isn't viable with any armor set tbh. First off, you still take the damage, so it won't ever save you from death or anything like that.

Also, the damage reflected is equal to the damage you take, not the amount your enemy dealt. i.e., if you're capped at 80% resistance (which, at 100 Heavy Armor which is required to select the perk, you probably are) then you're only reflecting back 20% of the damage. If you're blocking too, you're reflecting back even less -- as little as 3%!

Agreed about Mage Armor 3/3 + Stability being far more worthwhile. Though those are way underpowered in the early game, ironically.

I think the reflected damage is also subject to the difficulty slider, making it even worse at higher difficulties. I wanted to try to use the perk myself and thought I'd get to 100 HA and refund all my perks through the DB DLC and reperking as little as possible using Iron Armor. Reflect Blows would be worth it if it affected every physical attack. Seriously, worst perk though.

Tower of Strength has its moments I'll admit, it wasn't fair to call it awful. But I'll fight tooth and nail about Cushioned. Easily one of the most useless perks in the entire game, IMO.

First off, fall damage grows exponentially. A player with the Cushioned perk can only survive about 15 extra feet of falling compared to a player without the perk (assuming all else is equal).

Also, even if the perk let you drop 2-3 times further, it would still be pretty lame. How many times are you really going to need to jump off a cliff of a length that's just high enough that you'd die without Cushioned, and still low enough that you won't die anyways? Heck, how many times do you find yourself jumping off cliffs to begin with? I know I never do -- unless it's right after saving. Or if I'm roleplaying as the Adoring Fan at Dive Rock.

Oh, and if you ever really do need to jump off a cliff ... you're probably better off just using Become Ethereal. I don't know of a drop in the game that's so high that your Ethereal would break before hitting the bottom. (And if such a drop does exist, you definitely wouldn't survive on the merits of Cushioned.)

Pretty much the only reason to take Cushioned is if you're playing a no-shouts, dead is dead, thrill-seeking extreme mountaineer. (Guys, I think I just found my next build...)

Idk, I can't recall a time I was staggered to death. Except that fight against the triple archer Gauldurson. But ToS wasn't gonna help there.

Orcish, how'd I forgot about it. I think the design has changed a fair bit though, it looks a lot heavier nowadays but Bonemold looks very similar to how it did back in the day. Dreugh armour would be awesome. On a note connected to Dreugh, well my autocorrect says so anyway. Ancient Nord is perfect for a Medium Armour look.

Considering that Bonemold is one of the lightest heavy armor sets (weighs less than Steel) but also has one of the worst armor ratings (only beats out stuff like Steel, Iron and Ancient Nord), it's probably the best choice for recreating medium armor in Skyrim when you add in the fact that it was a medium armor in Morrowind.
