    Thanks! It's appreciated.

Oh, those giants aren't so peaceful, you know. Whenever I rid through their camp they attacked me without reason Jarls pay good for their kill and they sometimes carry rare loot

Na, a Dae Hyanda is send to extract items not to deliver flowers to Giants

I'm assuming our definition of 'common' is very different.  I've tried using these ingredients a few times and they were absolutely not common enough to rely on them.  If you use these potions sparingly then you'll be fine, otherwise it will eventually be an issue.  The most I can remember getting Tusks from a Riekling cave was perhaps 15-20, I could burn through that many potions in a very short period of time.  To then have to return to Solstheim, wait 30 days for respawn (if it hasn't alrady) and go back through a dungeon you've already cleared just to get a few more is not something many people would be interested in.

    Let's look at an example:

    Solitude's Last Stand

Boar Tusk (DB) + Bear Claws + Honeycomb* = Fortify Block + Fortify Health + Restore Stamina

Since you are most likely to use this potion at the start of a battle, the restore stamina effect is not very important.  Fortify health is one of the most common effects you can make (blue flowers, wheat, etc.) and the fortify block effect can be combined into a much better potion.  Consider the folowing combos:

    1. HangingMoss + Wheat + CanisRoot = Fortify Health and Fortify Onehanded
    2. TundraCotton + BleedingCrown = Fortify Block and resist Magic

At the expense of having to drink two potions instead of one your character can replace the potion effects of the one you posted plus you also now have fortified your onehanded attacks and also resist magic.  These two potions are superior to the one you mention with the added bonus of being made entirely of ingredients that are extremely common and easy to acquire in bulk (all but Moss can be farmed with Hearthfire).  Why use an uncommon ingredient when it isn't necessary?  That doesn't make much sense to me.

Alchemy is a skill that is extremely easy to get overcomplicated with and often what looks good on paper is not practical when actually playing.  The Boar Tusk potion in the above example is fine to use, and I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but what I'm saying is the same effects can be replicated (or even better in this case) with ingredients you can find anywhere and everywhere in Skyrim as opposed to a few specific places; Boar tusk can only be found in a handful of areas whereas my ingredients can be found anywhere in Skyrim, apothecary shops and can be grown.  A common roadblock for people when using Alchemy is having to continuously gather more ingredients (as opposed to the 'one and done' of enchanting).  If you want to rely on continuously waiting 30 days for a Riekling cave to respawn then going back through to get 15-20 more then that is perfectly fine, all I'm saying is you don't need to.  Just trying to make this character more efficient.

I guess our reliance on potions is quite different  I'm not saying that those potions are the best way to go, but for me 15-20 potions are quite good to last for a few days in the game (especially the ones like this to mostly be used before battle). And it's only one ruin. You can go to other ruins if you run out and by the time you're finished, the first one will respawn. That's to say they are not as common as Tundra Cotton or other ingredients you mentioned, so I agree that your recipes make the character more efficient.

The Restore Stamina effect is actually quite useful, you can sprint into battle and then use the potion to get your stamina back. Basically free Block Runner

If you are using vegetable soup then you don't need the restore stamina.  You can use your stamina reseve to sprint into battle at which point your vegetable soup will allow you to use continuous power attacks and shield bashes for the entire battle.  It isn't really necessary.

Well, yeah, but you need a soup as well. That means adding cooking to Alchemy. It's not mandatory, sure, you can drink Restore Stamina potion found in abundance in ruins and such as well. It's an option to do everything in one quick menu opening. You can even assign a shortcut key to the Solitude's Last Stand and not open menus at all

I totally understand what you mean. I ment the potions with the Boar Tusk as special potions for use against tougher creatures. In a normal play through you won't use 15 Solitude's Last Stand potions. The simple Fortify potions are used more frequently.

You said that she doesn't kill for pleasure yet you join the Dark Brotherhood. King Killer is just throwing me off. If she doesn't kill for pleasure then why does Emperor Titus Mede have to die? None of your equipment comes from the DB except for a shout. All you have to do is join but don't do any missions.

I know it's a bit contradictory, but while roleplaying you can justify the actions. For me, the motives were to help the orphans by killing the old lady. Next, there was the money and the items to gain (Nightweaver's band). Killing the emperor was purely her job! That's what she was trained for as a Dae Hyanda in the first place.

You can still skip the DB and the shout word or the destroy the DB but that's how I justified joining the DB.
