Haha. So you didn't know about Cirno Mode?

Well I have been playing around with the Woad Raider on Expert, got to level 20, and it is pretty tough. Plus I have run into a few issues that maybe you guys could help me out with.

Mages/vampires are the stuff of nightmares.

Personal Brew turns into a poison rather than a potion.

Need better Stamina recharge for bashing to keep enemies from hitting me

Is it me, or do the flesh spells not working effectively, or the are the enemies just that hard hitting.

I am wondering if I could use the technical loop holes on some pieces of clothing, like Fine Armgaurds or the locket of "Saint Jiub", which have armor rating, benefit from the light armor tree, and don't detract from Mage Armor.

The Thoughts of others are highly appreciated, and if you answer, put the answers in the order for the question/issue they answer.

Seven's Daedric Princes was never completed, but it does feature builds for all but four of the Daedric Lords. Fortunately, others have done builds based on the missing four. There are also countless other builds on the site based on being the champion of a Daedric Prince, such as this one or this one; I’d be here all day trying to list them all. Regarding the Divines, while they don’t have anything comparable to Seven’s Daedric Princes on the site (Ponty’s Paths of a Paladin is the closest thing I can think of, but not even half of the paths listed pertain to the Divines), all of them have had at least one build made about them at this point.

Is it me, or do the flesh spells not working effectively, or the are the enemies just that hard hitting. Especially archers.

Hey Grim One.  This is an interesting build idea you have here.  I wonder have you thought about doing a mock up of the build and posting it in the Workshop?  Anyway I have some thoughts on your build.

    1. Consider the Atronach Stone.  Its magic absorption would help mitigate your trouble with mages/vampires.  Also the magic boost could mean that you don't have to put stat boosts into magicka at all and instead just split them between health and stamina.

    2.  I don't believe you mentioned what the brew is suppose to do.  If you let me know I could suggest possible alternative ingredients for whatever effect you are trying to make.

    3.  Like I said in number one the Atronach Stone would allow you to put more points into stamina.  Flesh spells are actually pretty cheap and you shouldn't need to cast them more than twice per encounter, so you may not need those points in magicka.  Maybe a stat ratio like 0/3/2?

    4.  I've found that flesh spell are more like insurance, they prevent you from getting killed in one hit so you can run and hide or find cover but they won't make you a tank, that is until you get the mage armor perks.  This build probably needs those perks if you haven't taken them.

Note that I play almost exclusively on Adept difficulty so YMMV.

Hope that helps and good luck with your build!

    1) I guess the atronach stone could help, though the magicka regen debuff kind of turns me off because I still use restoration spells to heal up when a Bandit Thug takes off a chunk of my health with a well placed arrow, or a saber cat bites my buttocks off from behind in the wilderness

2)The Potion is bear claws and hanging moss for a boost to one handed and health, kind of like a berserkerang potion, though it turns into a poison with a magicka regen debuff.

3)The end Flesh spell, Ebony, costs a base 341 at no perks, 170.5 with the perk, 238.7 when dual casted. At level 20 I have 140 or so magicka. Even with the 100 point boost, and a magicka reserve of 200, that flesh spell would take over half my reserves, and leave me with stunted regen, which would is something I don't want when fighting enemies hat don't cast magic. Without the dual cast, that still take over half my reserve, though not as much but leaves me without the bonuses of dual casting.

    4) Already have one perk in mage armor, and the hits are still coming fast and strong, I also have perks in blocking though once again, the enemies are sill hitting rather hard.

    Thanks.

The Recovery Perks in the Restoration tree clears up your #1 issue.

Ah, I didn't realize you were casting other spells besides the flesh ones, that does change things.

    1.  Still if you were blocking more damage through better shield use (higher stamina) and better flesh spells (more mage armor) then you might not need to heal quite as much during combat.

    2. Unfortunately that potion cannot be created, as you have already discovered.  A possible substitute would be Juniper Berries, Spider Eggs, and Luna Moth Wing for a potion of Fortify Marksman and Regenerate Health.  Fortify Marksman is bugged and actually improves all the damage you deal not just bow damage.

    3.  Well with the knowledge that you are using other spells my previous suggestions are no longer as tenable.  But my intention was that by the time you get those high level flesh spells you will have the subsequent perk and possibly cost reduction/fortify magicka gear to alleviate the cost.  Also the stat ratio would be an early game to help you survive until the late game when you could theoretically toss more points at magicka.  This is a complex build you have here so the exact ratio is probably going to need tweaking and may need different phases, i.e. first ten levels are 0/3/2 and the next ten levels are 1/2/2 or something like that.

    4.  Without armor the hits are going to be felt.  Your best defense in this case is probably to not get hit at all which means more stamina for blocking and bashing.  Take advantage of your unarmored speed to get out of the way of hits.

Still this is all spit-balling and would need actual play-testing to verify if they work or not.  I think I might roll up a character like this and get a feel for the play-style.  Sword and Board is one of those archetypes that I haven't spent much time playing and this build has really sparked my interest.  I hope it all comes together for you.

    2.  Do you have the DLC?  There are some options with boar tusks that will get you potions with Fortify Health and Fortify One-handed.  You could also use hanging moss, yellow mountain flower, and small pearl to make a nice, powerful potion with Fortify Restoration + Fortify Health + Fortify One-handed.

    4.  Armor rating really doesn't do much until it gets past 300, and maxed non-vampiric Ebonyflesh ends there.

    1) Don't know if that was a back handed answer or not.

    2)Thanks, didn't realize that.

3)The End Game Gear for this guy in my mind is

     - an ebony axe for primary weapon

     - Targe of the Blooded as a shield and secondary d.o.t. weapon

     - A Circlet to reduce Restoration Cost

     - A Necklace to Reduce Alteration Cost

     - The Ragged Pair O' Trousers (Optionally Enchanted)

     - A pair of unarmored Boots (Or Miraak' boots, when I loot his skeletal body.. somehow)

Additionally if I don't start sinking points into magicka, I will have to find alteration reducing apparel to afford the base cost of oak flesh if I don't get the novice perk first. I will probably change up the distribution of the stats when the Health hits base 300, perhaps 1/1/2, 1/1/3, 2/1/2, or your 1/2/2.

    4) I do have the slow time perk for shields, though I will have to get better at timing bashes. Not much else I can do learn how to avoid blows.

P.S. Additionally I decided to throw in the Werewolf state into the build, not primarily for combat, but mainly for the companions quest line and the immunities it gives. Though it would seem Werewolves would fit in with Scottish isles, right?

    Thanks for the input.
