Whoever said well known builders would take precedent over newcomers and lesser known builders was right

I disagree. We had several fantastic builds from new or unheralded builders for this event. Acuo Dancer, Vileo Sufora, Dragonborn1421, and deathmetus in particular all did great jobs, and all were out of the Bloodworks within 24 hours or less.

That was Shinjins 3rd build I think and its caused a big stir!!

Chris what would be your solution to this? Your quick to complain but offer nothing. Should we not have events like this anymore?

"Well known builders" weren't always "Well known", they all had to post a first build at some point and yeah some people earn a reputation for posting good work. Are you asking that we take that hard work away by not letting them join in with a group they helped grow?

    I just don't get it.

    EDIT: Sorry, Shinjin & Lozhar.

No, we should, I'm just kinda miffed, it's fine, I'm already over it. It's just, as someone on here pointed out, it's kind of hard for new builders to be recognized when more quality builders (Like Raid), have an advantage

Well thanks then. I was honestly surprised as he'll within a few hours and I'm looking atmy replies and likes thinking 'oops wrong build this can't be mine.' Also congratulations to everyone else who participated.

Actually, in a set up like this everybody wins. Sure, the bigger names will automatically get some exposure... they've built a following, and they've earned it.

Lesser known builders, though, are getting a lot more exposure than they normally would otherwise. How many times have you heard, "Man! I can't believe this build has been buried in Bloodworks (or Recognized) for so long." How many of the builds in this event from newer builders are in Bloodworks now? How many people have looked their builds over?

Keep building and the notoriety will come. The event has been a great stepping stone for that :D

@Chris Diokno Mate it's all about quality and hard work to an extent. These top builders do put out quality builds and it's noticible that they put so much hard work into their builds to show the community. Of course is lowly builders might just put as much effort into it but we still need to refine our techniques. I mean if you can truly say that you, me or any of the other lesser heard guys have made a build that could stand up to say The Obsidion Sentinel then I would be surprised.
