Eurgh...Taking more perks.
Honestly I felt it would have been too easy for players to abuse that one, because of the need for Illusion I could too easily see people adding Illusion during the early parts of the game. And really we don't need that kind of power on top of the build.
Plus, I don't want to think of how I could really max out Fire Damage...I mean, adding on Azhidal and Aspect of Terror would definitely increase the power, but maybe a little too much (About 7375 damage) and I feel like there's a point where it might become too easy (I think taper would make it about 8850 damage, you did say 20% over 3 seconds right?)
That's per boosted Paralyze by the way

I can think of a couple of reasons, 1. that's a whole other skill to incorporate into the build 2. that would make Flame Cloak easily the most powerful cloak and completely eliminate the need for the other two.
Also there's a mod that reverts the aspect of terror glitch for unofficial patch users

So did you test the cloak on it's own or did you also have the ebony mail, dawnguard rune shield, jzargo's flame cloak, the potions and also the perks and skill levels that the build would have at that point? Because all those things would have an effect on your damage output.

And I was just pointing out that it can be a little difficult to measure the damage without all the modifiers that DB has in place in the build, sure it may take awhile to kill deathlords but that's why there's the focus on paralyzing your opponents.
