My third build, and second in my -born series. Check out my previous one: The Winterborn.

You were born under the sign of the Shadow, in Cyrodiil. The bastard son of a farmer. You never knew your real Dunmer parents. They abandoned you. You spent your whole life growing vegetables and feeding horses. You thought that your life will always be like this. Hard. Peacefull. Happy. But your birthsign was hiding something darker in you.

    Fate.

Bandits attacked the farm and killed everyone. The only ones you ever loved. They approached you with their axes and maces in their hands, laughing to a farmboy Dunmer with a dagger for defence. The biggest of them walked to you and tried to decapitate you.

    Fate.

The Shadow protected you. You became invisible and dodged the attack without understanding it. You, then, quickly pressed the iron dagger against the man's throat, letting the blood paint the cabbages red. The theives looked you horrified and run away like milk drinkers.

    Fate.

15 years later, you signed up to the arena. They trained you. They hardened you. You quickly rised on the ranks with the help of the Shadow. You earned the favor of the viewers, as they saw you for 20th time beheading a huge bandit guy in front of them. Several years later, you finally gained the opportunity to fight the Grand Champion for his title. The battle was tough. He was an Imperial sellsword, that healed himself after every blow of yours. You called once again the power of the Shadow to aid you and you became invisible. But he knew. You reappeared behind him, ready to cut his throat open, but he quickly turned back and pushed his blade in your eye. You tried to dodge it, but still, you lost your left eye. He executed another attack, this time aiming your heart, but you managed to dodge it, while the blood was puring down your face, and stab him in the back. He fell to his knees and tried to heal himself. You raised your sword high and down chopping his hand. He was at your mercy. You heard everyone around you screaming "Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!" and knew what to do. Soon, his head was in your hands, away from his body. "Grand Champion! Grand Champion! Grand Champion!".

    Fate.

You looked around enjoying your glory. Then, you saw him. A man in black and red armor at the top of a wall. He was aiming you with his bow. You had nowhere to go. Nowhere to hide. You tried to call upon the Shadow, but you couldn't for a second time. The assassin shot you and hit you in the chest. You fell down, as the voices of your fans faded.

    Fate.

You awoke several hours later in a small dark place. You were laid down and you couldn't move. You had nowhere to move. You couldn't see a thing. You heard chanting from somewhere far away. Then, you realised they had buried you in a coffin. That was a site to see. They were singing in your memory outside. You screamed but nobody listened you. You were going to die in there.

    Fate.

That night, two men came to your tomb. The one started digging while the other was watching if anyone was passing by. You heard them. You know who they were. The Dark Brotherhood. First, they shot at him a poisoned arrow, paralyzing him for good, so that everyone would think he was a dead man. Now, they wanted to take him with them alive. Clearly, someone had paid a fairly amount of gold to have him alive. Being famous have it's costs...

    Fate.

What the Dark Brotherhood hadn't think of is how much everyone respected him for what he has done. They hadn't considered that they would have buried his weapon with him for the afterlife. The Shadowborn readied his sword and when the assassin opened his coffin he forced it in his neck. The other one came running, but he managed to stab him in the leg and then in his chest. He walked tired to his hall, to rest and tell his story to everyone, so that he could return to the arena. But, no. He realised his legend had died with his fake death. His time here was over. They propably have raised a new Grand Champion. There was nothing left for him here.

    Fate.

The Shadowborn left Cyrodiil. He walked the wilds, killing bandits, beasts and monsters in his way. He was wondering where would fate guide him this time. And she guided him to Darkwater Crossing, in Skyrim.

You decided to leave the gladiator's life behind you. You want a more honourable path to follow. A fire is burning in your heart. You seek vengeance.

You are a ghost at the eyes of everyone you meet. You tend to keep it that way. You never stay at a city more than a day and while you are there you wear a hood to hide your identity. You have no name. You are now know as the One-Eye

You are not an evil character. There's just a gothic atmosphere around you. You never show your face to anyone. Actually you do. You show it to the man you're going to kill, when he is at your mercy. You prefer to leave one of the enemies to get away, so that he will spread the story. Your legend.

You don't care for the human law. Although, you are not doing something wrong according to the world's law. You hunt bandits. You hunt assassins. You hunt thieves. You hunt necromancer. Witches. Hagravens. Forsworn. Falmer. Thalmor.

You were not always enemies with the Thalmor. But after you have been set free from Helgen you met some of them on the road. They were taking a man to be interrogated. You considered it a crime, so you put on your helmet and approach them. They ask you if you believe in Talos, and you answer that you are free to believe wherever you want. Truth is, you aren't believing anywhere. You believe in fate. You believe in destiny and to earth spirits. But no Gods. You see them as spirits. Forces of nature. But you have no reason to tell that to anyone. The Thalmor will attack you, and so your hate for them begins.

Also, considering that the Imperials were trying to execute an innocent man, they are an enemy too. They are criminals in your eyes. So, you kill everyone of them you see on the road. You are not considering joining the Stormcloaks.

    You work alone.

    Armor

    Head: Iron Helmet

    Chest: Ragged Trousers

    Gauntlets: Iron Gauntlets

    Boots: Iron Boots

Your armor is for looks alone. The aim is to not take a hit. If you take, you are screwed.

    Weapon

    Orcish Sword + Iron Shield

The orcish sword looks really badass with the rest of the equipment. If you level up smithing and upgrade it a bit, it is dealing a decent amount of damage as well.

Dragon Priest Hunt: Those evil beings broke the laws of nature herself and now want to reing upon the mortal world. It is in your hands to stop them. You don't care for their masks... it is evil power.

Dawnguard: You aren't really fond of being a part of a guild, but you cannot stop the Volkihar alone. As long as you keep your true identity secret, you 'll do fine. Oh, and try to keep your distance from Serana... I know it is hard, but try.

Bounty Hunting: As I said before, you seek revenge, and the bandits were the reason you lost your former life in the first place. You don't really care about the Jarl's money, but whatever. So, are you in for some hunting?

The Forsworn Conspiracy: Kill Madanach, and when you escape kill that Silver-Blood scum, too. Both wanted you dead.

Waking Nightmare: You don't really like priests, but you 'll never kneel before an evil being.
You don't really care for power. You trust your own skill and you 're afraid of nothing. Die or live, it is already forwritten. But if it is your destiny to die, let it be. Die and be damned for the eternity.

When there are enemies in your path, either burst in with a critical charge and slash them to the ground before they can move, or slit the first one's throat and raise your shield waiting for the others to come meet their fate.

    "Vengeance".

You don't really need armor to survive. Like Farengar says "your mind is the best weapon you have", you trust your own skill and speed in battle to survive. I killed, in pc, a whole army of bandits while having mods like Deadly Combat, Skyre, Ultimate Combat and Locational Damage enabled, in Master Difficulty. It was insanely difficult. I died with a plain unblocked attack of a simple iron sword wielding bandit but I made it, and afterwards I was proud of my feat.

    Welcome to Skyrim, little princess.

If it is too much for you, turn away and never come back. You have no seat amongst the halls of the badassery.

You shouldn't bump unless you've revamped or majorly updated your build. It isn't fair on others.

dude i just said thank you for the likes, i am just getting started in the building group and it feels good to know that people actually like your staff. is it illegal?

No but what should be illegal is the all so common 'bandits attacked and killed my family' backstory. I can see that you have put some effort into the build overall though, it's a decent try.

    thank you good sir

It's fine to appreciate people liking your build, but you shouldn't bump because of it. Like I said, it's unfair on other people. You could have buried someone else's build by doing this.

This place isn't like the forums, and if everyone bumped their build this group would be in chaos. That's why there are certain rules about this exact sort of thing. Check out the Group Information Page for full details. EDIT: Another thing, what you do think would happen if the author commented every time someone liked their build? It would be insane.

Allright it won't happen again. Btw I can still reply to any comments with a thanks, right?

    Yeah, that's fair game.

I never noticed this build. I absolutly love the backstory and the armor combo (heheĀ ). Personally, I would go into more depth with gameplay but definatly gets a 1+ from me.
