Amazing build, I did this myself the other day because of how interesting such a build is and I must say its one of the most fun builds I've ever played, this'll will give me loads of great ideas to add to the one I'm currently playing.

Its sad that engineer type builds genrally come out the same. You and TZ have proved othrrwise.
Check out ShoddyCasts video on dwemer lore!
But also based on the video I think alchemy could be added because Dwemer practised alchemy and it could let you survive a bit better and give you a good magic boost. The escuse for alchemy could be: Whilst the tinkerer was researching the poison spider he found that by mixing alchemical reagents he could replicate the power of said spider thus giving him an edge in combat and the financial backing for his brilliant research.
Love the build!

I considered using Alchemy but after completely forgetting to use it until like level 15 I realized I had absolutely no need for it. It'd be very tacked on and on a character that doesn't need it I always forget to use the stuff I make anyway

You don't need to start the Dragonborn questline at all, you can just take the boat over whenever you want. I didn't even start the main quest.
