Bryn, that's a fallacy.... And you're talking about an ethical issue, not a matter of personal taste. Totally different topics.

Agreed. Not interested in reading a dozen different interpretations of the Synod or something. If you want to narrow it down from ALL non-joinable factions, then I suggest something along the lines of:

    - Nonjoinable factions appearing in a specific TES game

    - Nonjoinable factions attributed to a specific region

    - Nonjoinable factions associated with a specific playstyle archetype

    - Nonjoinable factions associated with a political alignment

No Teccam,it is totally ethics... The good option, and the evil option... And I never pick evil options, so what does that say about you :P Whatever, I'm done... Have fun, I'll be here... Alone... Wanting to try new ideas... Wanting to help bring recognition to classes or lore... While you all play with forgotten factions that are boring... At least to me.

No, because these builds wouldn't just "use" the nonjoinable factions. They would be built AROUND them.

Two builds that simply join the TG can be very different. But two guilds completely built around being a TG member won't be as different. The same applies here -- if we're having an event based around non-joinable factions, the whole point is for people to make the build's gameplay/roleplay support their faction choice. Not the other way around, which is how it is in your example of builds that happen to be TG members.

Ok, yeah, the last half of that second paragraph sounded kinda dickish...

@Teccam, imagine if we get 5 builds posted - a mage of the college, a dawnguard member, thief, Dark Brotherhood assassin, Volkihar vampire?

What is common between them? Can all these builds really be summarized under one theme?

Yes. They're all based on guilds in Skyrim.

I don't think that logic stands up very well, here, Vaz. It came up earlier: The common tie is "faction" just like the common tie of Ressurection was "dead". Not every build comes from a faction.

Just a bit... but it's okay, we forgive you

I also fail to see any reason why the build submissions themselves have to be related. The builds need to be related to the theme and not to each other...
