    I have no problem with faction theme, it's just too broad IMO. Resurrection was both broad and narrow at the same time, there was something common between builds. Faction theme lacks that

    And one faction makes it much harder to produce different builds. The participation will be lower

    Each resurrected character had no connection...

    They were just all dead.

    And non-joinable factions are connected. They weren't joinable.

    The connection was the following - each build was a resurrected NPC. It's a bit more specific than telling that each build is a non-joinable faction member. 

    All of the builds on the site has similar thing in common - they are all joinable faction members.

    No one liked the Resurrection idea much either (including me), but this could work just as well. And that last faction... :P

    Right, but I could have picked anyone that was dead. Most people went with "famous/infamous" dead NPCs (which helped) but I could have made literally anyone.

    Non-joinable factions would even be more restricting than the last contest lol. You at least had a specific group to go for.
