Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated....

Just throwing this idea out there and anyone's free to grab it. What about the idea of a false god? The dragonborn himself. Surely one bestowed with the power of dragons, beings once worshipped as gods themselves, could be led to believe he is a god. Could people be led to see the DB as a godlike being? He certainly has be power to make a compelling case.

    hear, hear.

He certainly does. Even a false god is a true God in the eyes of his devout followers.

After trawling through the list, I'm rather disappointed. I was hoping to find a really interesting and obscure god with a viable focus for a build, but nothing really took my fancy. The only god who seemed obscure with some decent lore surrounding him was Sai, God of Luck. What struck me most was that excessive worshippers of his were struck with Sai's Affliction, a curse or misfortune. This could lend itself brilliantly to a sort of 'evolving' build, which begins as a devout Worshipper of Sai who is unaware of the consequences of their zealousness. They take their 'gambling' nature to an extreme, and utilise possibly every item that has effects determined by chance (Kohnariik, Mehrune's Razor, Wabbajack, etc). They slowly descend into an abyss of unluckiness, eventually turning their back on their former god and becoming some sort of twisted shell who wants nothing more than revenge. Just throwing stuff out there. I noticed FishDout's already picked Sai, so good luck to you man! The one other god I liked was the Greedy Man, otherwise known as the Adversary. Basically a build which would attempt to thwart the Skaal at every turn, though I'm not sure how easy that would be to play. My final idea would be a Worshipper of Hermy/Xarses, a sort of scholar-y build who thirsts for knowledge and tries to collect all the hidden secrets he can find. I might go with the latter, though I'll confirm at a later date whether I'll do that or just post my Azura's Warden for the event. Don't sign me up yet though, I've got some things I'd like to test first before I finalise an entry.

A Greedy Man build would be interesting; it'd make a nice counterpart to your Skaal Crusader. But yeah, I don't see how one would go about making a Greedy Man build in Skyrim.

Could you change mine to Anu, I just came up with a really cool idea!

    Will do.

Oh, how cool! I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for this one, too. I'm thinking of dredging up something obscure from Cyrodil: a priest of the Alessian Order. Maybe even Marukh the Prophet-Most-Simian himself, even if only for the Kirkbride-ey weirdness such a move brings with it. Hail Akatosh!

Sounds good. I'll put you down for God of the Alessian Order (whatever weird, unknowable deity that is :P).
