So we're getting to the period where I'm going to start writing the critiques and scores for builds. I consider what everyone has posted to be the final copy as long as it's in the Character Building group, so if you make changes between when I read them (For judging purposes) and the end of the judging period, it may not make it into the scoring.

So the process is. I'll be staring the write-ups today and sending them in PM's to everyone who's posted by July 1st. I'll be doing them in order of when they were posted which I believe means.

The write-ups are essentially a combination of the actual marks for each category and the justification for them. I would ask that you don't share them, and if you have any specific concerns about sections, let me know and we can discuss it. They're pretty hefty from a few drafts I've done in the last hour, expect about 1000 words of thoughts from me...maybe 500 if your ranging more towards average marks across everything. 

Remmber, that anyone getting a 50 is pretty damn close to impossible. Even 40 is going to be pretty tough to hit and I'm going to be surprised if I end up marking anyone higher than... 45. So don't consider a 30 terrible, a 20 would be below average, yeah, but it could just be a single section dragging you down a bit. I'm kind of excited to write them all up. :D

At the moment the plan is for the winner to get a feature, not an extra feature, just that only the winner gets their build featured on the front page. It's possible that there would be features for the second and third place but I haven't decided. Other then that... there's a place in the Hall of Champions for any Contest Winner, but nothing else. The main idea is more to focus on a fun event rather than something that feels like it has massive stakes.

Oh, I guessed that. Love friendly little competitions like this. Will future ones have themes?

Not sure, I think what I might do is have the Flash Contests be themed Contests that are decided by voting while the larger contests are un-themed and judged. Not entirely sure yet though, haven't planned out much beyond the next month. 

Weirdly enough, there’s a tiny chance we might get moved to Australia in a few months, so I might be able to hold you to that taco, whether I come in 5th or last. :)

Exactly, lol. Yeah, it’s sudden for us, too. We’re waiting to hear whether we’re going to stay where we are, or go to three other places around the world. Last move, we had to get across the country with less than a month’s notice, so I’m just waiting on the shit hoops they’ll have us jump through next.

Shit that sounds pretty terrible, gotta be honest I'm the sort of person that would die in that situation, I like things to be pretty structured and planned out months before so I don't have surprises sprung on me. Hope it works out for you Ilani :)
