hey ponty, you should make a ''roman general'' build with the blades shield, armor and closed imperial helmet or something. this will be a nice build wich isn't their yet.

Besides this reply being out of place, what would a 'general' build focused purely around those items really achieve? All I can really think of is my Commander but using sword+board instead, or a warrior that does legion quests, hardly something original

I love this build. I started playing a few days ago and am now level 10.
I'm new to Skyrim and started playing a Enchanter/Smith but I was getting so wrapped-up in the quest for better gear, I wasn't really enjoying the game itself. This build really captured my imagination, so I made a character and haven't looked back.
I went with Dunmer (for the complimentary skill boosts) and am focusing more on lightning than cold. The character has white eyes a has a bit of a Storm thing going on (X-Men) - looking to get the Clear Skies, Cyclone and Stormcall dragon shouts later on, too.
I have already unleashed the Foresworn on Markath and am charging through the thieves guild quests with some glee and abandon. It's really liberating and fun - being somewhat fragile really adds a level of adrenaline to the game and stealing everything that's shiny gives me a bit of a kick too.
Thanks for rescuing me from an unimaginative play-style. Awesome, awesome build.

Hey Ponty. I LOVE this build, but was wondering something.... I've never actually finished the main story (please don't hurt me) and was wondering if this build is suitable for the main story? Also, what quests would you recommend?

Different builds will shine at different points in the main story, with the use of lightning and frost magic you'll be more than good enough at fighting dragons. I don't recommend any quests in particular but Thieves Guild, College and DB are certainly options, as well as the Forsworn Conspiracy for the Armor of the Old Gods

I'm just going through your builds singing 'Another one bites the Dust' and liking them....
I have seen all of these, just never liked 'em....maybe 'cause I saw them when I was a blog newbie and didn't know how to....
