    Why?

  • May 6, 2014

I get that, but I don't want it to just become a wall of text. I'll test it out first, see how it looks.

    Blood is red. Q.E.D.

I don't think it looks too bad without the equipment pics, actually.

This is an alright build, but I can think of a few things you could improve that would attract more attention and approval.

First off level 75 is too high. Its highly recommended not to go past 60 otherwise you risk people overlooking the build because of how exhausting the leveling process will be by mid 50s. On that note I believe this massive lvl 75 build can be cut down to a more manageable lvl 49.

You dont need pick pocketing because you already have the means through illusion to eliminate a tough opponent as a threat temporarily. Having both is just redundant. Lock picking is pretty useless for this build. Locks are easy enough to pick with enough lock picks.

You dont need one handed because honestly you'll be dealing damage equivalent to a legendary weapon with all those enchantments. Youre probbaly aware that chaos actually strengthens any enchantment its paired with. Speech is also not that necessary, unless you absolutely need endless piles of cash or wish to role play some sort of silver tongued character.

As for special moves some of them are pretty cool, others lack synergy imo. Blood maim and storm spectre sucker punch lack synergy. Tainted blood relies on a rather weak and useless once a day power. Arcane Fusilade and Guns of Alinor are essentially the same move but with a different dual casted spell. I suggest sticking with one or the other. If anything the player can vary up whats being dual casted. Hit and run isnt really a special move. Its basically standard sneak casting.

The rest of the special moves are good, just for the love of god come up with a better name besides unlimited powahhh. Lets not give the impression that the move was thought up by a six year old. Also note that grim sacrifice will work on a raised undead minion.

Thanks for the criticism, Curse! I'll try to address your points one by one, so this may run a bit long...

"First off level 75 is too high": I always play my builds until Lv. 70-ish, and assumed others did too. If that's not the case, then I'll change it to reflect that.

"You don't need Lockpicking": I didn't think I put any points in lockpicking on that spread. During the editing process I must have made at least 4 tries, some with Lockpick, some without, and probably linked to the wrong one. I'll fix that shortly.

"You don't need One-Handed": Point taken, I'll fix that.

"You're probably aware that chaos actually strengthens any enchantment its paired with": Actually, I was not. The TES Wiki page lead me to believe that was a glitch only affecting Absorb Health for some reason. You learn new stuff every day, I guess...

"You don't need Speech/Pickpocket": Yes, you do. First off, dual-casted Illusion spells use up a lot of magicka, and aren't always convenient. Second, this character needs Pickpocketing and Speech as part of the roleplaying aspect: the Nightblood Rogue is a silver-tongued thief who uses blood magic (Equilibrium) to compensate for her/his otherwise mediocre spellcasting abilities. She uses thief skills to make money and survive and magic to do damage. I thought all this had been made clear in the intro section. I understand it's a little long, but still. This build has a significant amount of RP involved. Pickpocket and Speech are crucial to that.

"Blood Maim and Storm Specter Sucker-Punch lack synergy": You'll have to explain what exactly is wrong with blood maim, because I think it works out fine. Point taken on the other one, though. I was actually planning on editing it before you brought it up.

"Tainted blood relies on a rather weak and useless once a day power": You say weak and useless, I say situational. If you lay down a wall spell in a hallway, then lay down Mora's Agony on the side closest to you, weaker melee enemies attempting to cross will be blocked and take poison damage, all while taking constant damage from the wall spell. It's definitely situational, but I don't see how it's useless.

"Arcane Fusilade and Guns of Alinor are essentially the same move": Fair enough, they're really only separate because I liked both names. I'll keep The Guns of Alinor, then add a not that this works with other dual-cast Destruction spells as variants.

"Hit and run isn't really a special move": I guess it is more of a tactic, innit? Fine.

"Come up with a better name besides unlimited powahhh": It's a Star Wars reference, as the link in the title makes clear. I can see how one could get confused, though, so I'll make that clearer.

I hope this makes things a little clearer for you. Thanks fore the excellent feedback, and expect a revision shortly!

You can find a link to it in the build recommendations page. That build is gone from this blog as a result of its author being banned.
