Because Mason hasn't got around to filing it yet........oh wait thats me....
Your builds doing well Zandt and only requires an extra like before moving to apprentice so i thought i'd hold out before filing it!
I let builds float for a few days after they are first posted while they get read and liked, if i file them into novice - apprentice etc as soon as they raise then it becomes a pain in the ass...

i just read the comment about the lack of red armour and i was thinking if you have the dawnguard dlc then there is a red vamp armour that might do it and it is a light armour

You're dead right - this is an original concept. Though there are many hybrids/universal builds in this group. every one of them seeks mastery or specialization in some skill, and this one porposely avoids going beyond mediocrity in every perktree. To avoid specialization I would suggest not choosing a weapon type in one handed skill, but going instead for some perks in sneak - I know this path is duable because I've played that way in my Dark Prophet character, also a kind of Jack of all trades, though not as cool as this one.
It must be easy and rewarding to develop some special moves for this one - the sheer variety of skills and perks should allow a lot of original combinations. This could become a master build if worked right.

So a level 50 build would look something like this?
http://skyrimcalculator.com/#222234
the only skill tree that requires more than 60 skill points into is enchanting but that can be reduced to 60 if you take that fifth point of enchanter out and place it elsewhere.
Nevertheless I love it! The red mage has always been my favorite final fantasy class. I mean capability of defense and various offensive choices? that's just awesome.
For my red mage I decked him in vampire armor (the red one of course) and since I need to have a light headgear in order to get the custom fit and wind walker bonuses I opted for the worn shrouded cowl since it looks better than most of the other option you have to chose from and can be enchanted however you like.
Then I picked up the best looking light shield (imperial light shield) and used any cool looking sword in the other hand.
You have my <3 on this build ;)

Oh and since red mages are basically medium strength warriors with white and black magic (up to level 3) I use
White magic:
Cure - Healing/Healing Hands
Cura - Fast Healing/Heal Other
Curaga - Close Wounds
Dia - Sun Fire
Diara - Vampire's Bane
Shell - Lesser Ward
Shellga - Steadfast Ward -> Greater Ward (no lvl three shell so had to put them both within the same FF spell...)
Black magic:
Fire - Flames
Fira -Fire Bolt
Firaga - Fire Ball
Blizard - Frost Bite
Blizzara - Ice Spike
Blizzaga - Ice Storm
Thunder - Sparks
Thundara - Lightning Bolt
Thundaga - Chain Lightning
No runes or auras since those don't have any FF counterparts.
