Many of these sound like some of the Tenets for Albee's Religious Order and what I chose to start Straag with.

@Meh - Yeah that 's why I said it is a solid base and also some of them will make the game more interesting since you won't be looting dungeons and that kind of stuff (some people have serious loot problems you know :D).

I forgot to add one which is You never use the Voice as a weapon unless it is against your fellow Dovah (Basically, if you fight a Dragon you can use Shouts. if you are fighting a bunch of bandits then no Shouts). I got that one from the tale of Jorgen Windcaller and the no looting things is from me reading about Zenithar who rewards hard work and punishes laziness, so I figured I couldn't loot since it would easy work.

@Dragonborn - This is something I 'm doing often which is taking a break from Skyrim play something else and then wait for some idea coming from something random I saw/read and go back to Skyrim again. One thing I 'm certainly intending to do is play the Witcher 3 which I wasn't able to due to lack of time and for some time now I wanted to go back and do an Oblivion playthrough again after all these years with some extreme graphic mods and all but this will have to wait until I 'm able to put a good PC together since my previous main PC died horribly...

Ansei and their lore is a pretty cool theme to go about regarding characters and roleplay, good luck with this one.

@Lissette - Just went and read the Tenets for Albee's Religious Order it looks very interesting and some of the ones mentioned here do sound like the ones there.

A Roleplaying Guide from Duvain, awesome! Warriors are always tricky in my mind, just because there's so much variation as to what a 'Warrior' actually is, so this guide is very useful.

Would you be open to perhaps linking a few lore-based 'codes', to give people a better perspective on the variations of warriors based on beliefs and race etc? Stuff like the Book of Circles that Deebs mentioned, Malacath's Code for the Orcs etc. It'd be interesting to explore how and why these codes vary, and what type of warrior is created as a result of these codes.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm stickying this!

Another awesome RP topic in which we could easily go on at length :D The character I have been planning and playing in my head for the last few months is a Buoyant Armiger like Rangidil from Death Blow of Abernant following the code of the Seven Graces: Humility, Generosity, Courtesy, Daring, Justice, Valour, and Pride.

Well that is interesting, 'Humility' and 'Pride' seem like ying and yang to me, interesting to see how both of them could be expressed without one overwhelming the other.

Ha, well spotted :D Each of the Graces is represented by a story of Vivec's heroics, fictional or otherwise. Humility was about the Warrior-Poet stopping and stripping down while on a quest to help a farmer who was down on his luck. Pride is about the pride the Dunmer people have in their gods, who out of all the divine spirits, are actually tangible and whose miracles can be seen.

Of course there are layers to examine as with anything Vehk related, but on the face of it that last thought alone is worthy of dwelling upon. What must it be like to have faith when said faith is constantly proven just by looking at the Ministry of Truth floating over your head, or the Ghost Fence keeping horrors at bay?

Ancient history for most in the Fourth Era, but still within living memory if enough who may yet hold to the ideals of the Tribunal in their hearts. I think the old guy in Solstheim's hot wife is an example of that. I think. Been a while since I heard her dialogue but iirc it is anti New Temple.

Edit: Link if anyone's unfamilliar to The Pilgrim's Path. Funny, this quest in TES III is what made the world feel perfect for me. I came to Morrowind after having played Skyrim so the old mechanics and graphics, lack of hand-holding, and clunky journal was jarring to me. It wasn't until my Imperial Knight did the Pilgrimage and get thoroughly lost that I was utterly immersed. Replaying that journey in ESO was much fun. And a lot easier.

@Zonnonn - Yeah warriors are actually the most tricky in my mind as well because there are countless variations of them.

It is a good idea to link to some lore-based type of warriors in ES like the Yokudans/Ansei/Redguards or the Orcs following the code of Malacath. I will put some links here when I 'm back home in a few hours. Also I was thinking to go through the results we had from the comments in the Monk discussion and what will come up in this discussion and make two seperate posts explaining a bit more about the roleplay of these two classes. These could act as a base for people to build upon their personal type of Monk or Warrior. This is pretty much the reason making these discussions because everyone will add something and in the end you will get something more "complete" if that is the right way to say it. :P

That sounds like an interesting concept and character, I 'll be sure to check The Pilgrim's Path. I should look a bit more into Dunmer lore. Given that I haven't played Morrowid I 've never looked too much into it and it looks like an interesting topic.
