Mind waiting a day? Still trying to find one on Google or Pinterest that is like that but less "high fantasy" and more gritty.

    You got it.

For me it's often the concept of a build that intrigues me the most. The concept here is great. Another thing I really like is you give us a couple of options so it doesn't feel like we are on such a strict path.

The only thing that I don't like is there seems to be no ultimate goal. One that is obtainable. To clarify, we can't actually reform the mages guild, and this seems to be a more roleplay focused build (which I love) than a power play build. So while I am happy about having choices for my journey but would still like a clear view of my destination.

I'll admit, this build relies very much on roleplay, and I do realize that it's pretty hard to satisfyingly "reform" the guild. What I was doing was making the build not actually be based around reforming it, but the preparations to reform it. Was there any way I could have made the goal better, or was it fated to be pretty ambiguous due to the nature of the build?

The only thing I could really think of would be to try to set up a "Guild Hall" Using one of the Hearth Fire houses. Either Windstad, or Lakeview Manors. For the fish hatchery or sacrificial alter, respectively. Have your steward be a mage. Maybe even give him/her the rank of Master Wizard. If you choose to go with Windstad you'll pick up Valdimar who is a sorcerer, as a housecarl. For a list of potential stewards, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim%3aPersonal_Steward

Have it set up to be a very mage focused house. Enchanters tower, Library, and Alchemy tower.

Just an idea as I am a fan of roleplay over power play.

I did briefly mention that in the Roleplay section. Guess I should've made that a more prominent part.

Edit: Upon re-reading I noticed I only put that in the "bad" roleplay section and didn't include the stuff about the enchanter's tower etc. I honestly had meant to do that, but I don't see much point in fixing it now.

I'm new to building, so far I haven't had the greatest success, but in talking with some of the "master" builders. I have come to learn a lot in a short time. There is nothing wrong with going back and adding/cutting your build to make it better. The more effort you put in the better your build will be overall. Who knows maybe adding that could give it a bit of a bump, maybe not.

Yes you did mention it but it's collecting artifacts and founding a guild hall are two separate things. Another thing you could have done would be to swap out the enchanting tower for a bedroom, adopt a couple of kids and give it a Hogwartsish feel. The other mages in the house could be the teachers and you would be the headmaster.

I think I might finally make some more improvements to this. I've already added some pictures to the Roleplay section.

Nice job. Straightforward but I like the role playing options.

    Welcome to the next rank.

Quite the underrated build, in my opinion. Definitely deserves more than 22 likes! And, uh, while I'm here... could I ask what that header font is? The one that says The Arch Founder?
