Thanks, Mason. Good advice here. I think this covers all those bases:
• Khajiit (CHECK)
• Maximizing damage w/o grinding = MFD (CHECK) (I also personally find that getting Alchemy up to 100 is far from a grind when you have Hearthfire to grow your plants for you, and as Ben will tell anyone who listens, a bit of scavenging along rivers can also get it up very quickly)
• Controlling big crowds = bashing and slow time (CHECK) (I picked up a nice strategy from Zach's Despoiler by combining Ranger + Steady Hand to simulate slow time without having to use the shout)
• Good defense = Lord + Heavy Armor + steady stock of strong healing potions (CHECK)
• Oh Shit Button = 2x Fortify Archery potion for double damage (CHECK)
Can't wait to see your next build, mate. I love that we're on the same cycle!
And @Nelaf - I fixed the perk spread. Reallocated those perks to Power Shot, Concentrated Poison, and Disarming Bash. I only used poisons sparingly in my playthrough, but honestly there was nowhere else to go with that one perk. Also realized the previous spread was missing Apprentice/Adept Conjuration, so fixed that too.

It's finally arrived! 1000 thanks to you and james too!(+1) I was so curious to see an unarmed monk build based on MFD tip!!! It's simple, wonderful and deadly. If you keep the block perks and hotkey a torch you can even use disarming bash unarmed.

Great build, Teccam! I thought the exact same thing when I was reading up on MFD. Great minds think alike, I guess. While I like the Master Monk, I really like the lack of exploits this build uses comparatively. I really can't get into builds that rely on broken mechanics. So much can be done with MFD. Builders have only just scratched the surface, I think.
Great job, +1 man.

Haha, I'm glad you noticed that, Theo. Also the obvious Archer reference, and the Armed and Dangerous one. I think I had a few more in some of the older drafts, but I ended up cutting a fair amount of fluff when it became clear that it was already going to be 1000+ words with just the important stuff.
Thanks to everyone who's liked it so far. It's a seriously fun playthrough, and pretty easy to set up, with minimal grinding (especially if you have Hearthfire and make use of skill trainers). Honestly guys, give this a shot and I think it'll suck you in really quickly. Thanks again to James for all those great discoveries!

Great build. Simple but exiting gameplay, just the way I like it. Azidal's armor does look awesome. Armored but not to heavy looking.
I play on the PC with the unofficial patches. These 'fix' the Fortify Marksmanship potion so they do just that: boost damage done by bows, nothing more (why not simply renaming it to Fortify Physical Damage?) . This severely reduces the effectiveness of any unarmed build relying on this effect.
Oh well, just have to find a mod that counteracts the patches
