Character Build: The Rune Priest

  Good build but ash rune is alteration. You still get a plus 1 from me. Nice intro.

  Ash Rune is alteration, which is why I included alteration reduction and +magicka enchants on the gear. There is enough magicka to cast Ash Rune each combat (you really don't need more than one), but if for whatever reason you don't you can freely swap the block perks with alteration perks (exactly enough for Expert Alteration).

  While messing around with one of my characters, I discovered an excellent tactic with the Rune Hammer. If you use Become Ethereal, you can place runes for zero cost because bashing does not remove the ethereal effect. Using this, you can effectively inflict tons of damage to enemies while you are invincible.

  Been playing this build before dragonborn comes out on ps3 tommorow (pumped) but after looking at some of the new spells being added it would be a cool idea to add conjuration to the build because of the new spell, ash spawn, which drops a rune on the ground and outsprouts an ash monster!
