Things like taking a Bow and using it as a melee weapon by relying on Bow Bashing, or a series that a few of us have been working on where we try and take a skill, use every perk for that skill and nothing else (or no other skills/perks). So, if you have an idea for blending this stuff together, definitely try and work on it :D
That said, I do kinda like your idea for the Arcane Archery there, feels like something that very naturally would blend well with Enchanting as well. Plus I'd imagine there are some pretty interesting combinations that could be used (things like being able to combine Stamina Damaging effects with Frost AoE Arrows), I haven't personally used (or even looked at) the actual pack, but I used to play around with the same concept with mods back when I could (barely) play on PC. So something like... Enchanting, Archery, Two-Handed and Light Armour? That could work I suppose, you're really only swapping between the Bow and Sword/Hammer/Axe, and there's a certain limit to how powerful you could otherwise be in close combat? Could also take Alchemy and focus on Poisons if you wanted to, that's essentially giving three different effects to your attacks.
Would be pretty powerful overall though, but pretty damn fun and interesting I'd bet.
Yeah I actually like that idea with the enchanting I might go ahead and give that a try. I'm working on a couple ideas of a playstyle right now and I feel I'm close to a good mix of skills. Thanks again for your help Dragonborn your insight on my idea has been very helpful.

So I just made a very muscular and mean-looking dunmer and he's fresh out of Helgen. I have no idea what to do with him. Currently, based on his more than grumpy expression, I'm thinking something warrior-based would fit him perfectly. Heavy Armor is prefered but I want to shy away from Two-Handed this time around. I don't want to use magic either. This guy is that one dunmer who just rolls his eyes at fireballs before bisecting the mage he's fighting. So I want something brutish. Good or evil is fine and I'm definitely okay with having to use smithing. Sneak is welcomed as well. He maybe a warrior, but he understands how useful stealth can be when getting the drop on someone.

Man, other than the magic bit, I would've recommended a Dunmer Paladin, wearing Bonemold Armour and going around with an Elven Sword just makes for a really awesome look. But I do actually have a build that might work, it's a sort of strange build (the character itself, not the build's skills and all) and the pictures are all broken The Temporal Warrior is a pure warrior (with Speech and Shouts) Dunmer build that you might enjoy. It does use Two-Handed (as well as One-Handed) but that can rather easily be exchanged for Block Perks. Might work for you, not sure but it was definitely fun to play and pretty much fits what you're looking for.

Dean said: I don’t have a link but try looking for either a Redoran Guard build or a Morag Tong w/Ebony Blade build. The latter could use Chitin Heavy Armor instead of Morag Tong Armor.
If you're wanting to play a Morag Tong or some other Paladin of Mephala in heavy armor, I'd start with Block, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Speech, Illusion, and a dip into either Smithing or Alchemy (Or both if you want to bother crafting, which would be my personal preference). Honeyed words, a poisoned blade, and a chitinous second skin all shrouded in treacherous, arcane influence. Good stuff.
I threw together a rough build of it here.

I've actually been working on this for like, at least 3 years now. Started on PS3, then PS4, and now on XB1. It's a build for every one of the 21 TES classes. I use a ton of the builds on here as "inspirations" and tweak things in my own way. I've never posted it because most aren't truly my own builds, just riffs on builds posted here or found anywhere else.
If anyone knows of a spot on Tamriel Vault I could post this, I'm interested in sharing it. I've posted it on reddit and people found it very useful, but I want to be clear most of these are based on builds from here with only slight variations on my part. I linked to the original build any time I used one.
