Also, can I run this without the crossbows?

Roughly 1:1:1 on the stat spread but tweak it as you like.

It will work replacing crossbows with bows. Just use a high weight bow to replace them so you can keep more of the damage. The crossbows are supposed to be slow and strong while the bow is fast but weak.
