Ever feel like you've missed out on uncovering every inch of adventure and fun that the Wasteland has to offer? Or perhaps that running around questing feels more like a chore than an actual journey? Maybe you just feel like the Fallout developers made such a beautifully diverse and intricate world that it'd be a shame to miss out on seeing it all. Well my friends, grab a laser rifle and throw your medical goggles on because it's time to become a full fledged member of the Brotherhood. I present to you...

    The Science Scribe

    Maxon MX-001E ##### INTRODUCTION

    Fr: Elder Maxon MX-001E

    To: Lancer-Captain Kells KS-390LC

The basis on which every science scribe should train and operate are that of research, assistive combat, firearm engineering, and medicinal provision. I encourage you, Kells, to root this in the brain of every aspiring scribe as well as our veteran field scientists. It is their job to go out with either a patrol team or their shield brother to uncover from every inch of the Commonwealth a supply of information, documentation, and technological equipment of any kind. However, their job operations stretch far beyond just research. Every one of our scribes should be built to be an active and proficient combatitive soldier. Ensure that they are trained in the use of laser and plasma rifles, hand-held explosives, and long-range explosive projectile launchers. By mastering the use of these, our science scribes should be capable of not only providing assistance for their Power Armor-clad brothers and sisters, but also capable of holding their own in the most dire of situations with or without assistance.

Now, I'd like a full data report comprised from our various department heads on that new recruit, the Vault Dweller, you spoke of. I want to know where he's from, who he is, what he can do, and how he operates. This science scribe in particular...intrigues me.

Elder, I've finally completed my full background check on the newest recruit you've been inquiring about. The story he gave me was, well, unnerving to say the least. I had trouble believing it at first but upon having Proctor Qunlin dig through our archives, I can confirm the recruit's story to be true. Rather than attempt to rephrase his story, I'll attach a copy of our interview and the story he provided me with.

"You see Captain, this may come as a surprise to you but I in fact am no stranger to the Brotherhood of Steel. In fact, I've already joined...about 45 years ago. I was apart of the Brotherhood chapter dispatched to Washington D.C. and I was apart of the first recon team sent to investigate the Commonwealth after the defeat of the Enclave. I know this all sounds very hard to believe but please let me explain. I came to the Commonwealth with the first patrol team, along with Nora, my wife who served the Brotherhood as a field scribe. Wow we were such a team...we had each other's back through it all. Nothing in the world could stop us from fulfilling our duty, no, not even our son, Shaun. But our courage could only take us so far. While making our way toward the heart of the Commonwealth, our patrol team was ambushed by what I can only assume to be Institute Synths. The rest of the team fled and made it out safely, but my family wasn't so lucky. One of them, surely no synth, shot my wife and took my kid. They threw my wife and I in a vault, froze us, and left me to watch as she died before my eyes. While I was frozen, my mind went back to times of peace and prosperity and joy, a time before the war. But just as my dream turned to the horrors of the war, so my reality turned to the horrors of the wasteland. I awoke, heartbroken with all I had lost, but I knew I had a purpose; to avenge my wife, find my kid, and fight for the Brotherhood once more. It's good to be home, Captain."

Thanks man :) I'll probs do this like I've done my recent builds and just add to it section by section while I have time instead of doing it all in one painstakingly long session. Feel free to throw in advice or comments as it progresses!

Truly their widespread empire built upon slavery, gluttonry, and every form of bloodshed has nothing but good, wholesome intentions
