Not so much "revenge" as "being powerless" - say as a kid, he sees scumbag racketeers hitting his shopkeeper parents up for protection money. He sees the local gambler running the numbers and making bank, he sees that all the good hardworking folks in his rough neighborhood ain't got a pot to piss in, but the gangs selling drugs and committing petty larceny? They got all the power, all the money, all the good-looking girls, and free access to all sorts of highs. Same reasons someone becomes a drug lord or enforcer in real life :)

I'm in the middle of making my first character profile, and I have a few questions regarding morality. If someone purposefully does something immoral to achieve an immoral goal but believes that goal and his means of achieving that goal to be just and good, is that person bad or is he simply misguided? What would I on put on the character profile for his moral alignment? And let's say there is an Altmer who does everything in his power to be a good person; giving to the poor, helping those in need, showing compassion and kindness, etc. Let's also say he agrees with the Thalmor on how they deal with Talos worshipers. Is he a bad person simply because of an ideology he grew up with, despite all of the other things he has done out of genuine goodwill?

Here I come again, back from the woodworks, needing help again. This time around, it's a high elf thief, I was wanting him to have been a part of the Summerset Shadows for a while, before being betrayed by them, I have the idea that they turned him in for profit for themselves. I ultimately want him to fall in with Hermaeus Mora and Nocturnal. I have somewhat of a backstory, where he heard a voice in the back of his head during his schooling, about things that were about to happen, accidents and the like, also that he had a kind of addiction about experimenting on insects, while also having a addiction to literature. I like to imagine him being in the middle-ish class of Summerset Isles, and he fell in with the Shadows after his schooling. But he never lost that addiction for knowledge, which made him one of the only logic and scholarly based men in the Shadows. I would just like some clearing and maybe a little help coming up with a more solid backstory. Any advice would help, also I wanted to say thank you to all the people who have helped in the past posts, it's helped make some pretty fun and interesting characters.

If an orc is born outside of a stronghold, what would his surname be? Would he take his parent's surname, or would he even have a surname at all? I'm trying to make an orc character, and it would be helpful to know.

hey, just starting my first RP with a Dragonborn from D&D based Argonian. I posted what he looks like already. I have the Alternative start mod and ended up at the Reach next to a dragon, which my guy won against with Flames. just need some help with his story. any ideas? also is that kind of thing ok for the RP?

I have honestly never heard of that character. (Kudos to you for picking such a specific character). However after doing some brief reading I may have come up with something. This guy sounded like a strategist who is unmatched in combat. I'd say the call of Skyrim's civil war may have reawakened him to test these warriors of the fourth era. To justify the whole assassin thing, maybe he could join the DB to murder the weak Titus Mede II to allow someone stronger to take his place. That's all I've got. Good luck with your playthrough.
