Thanks for this article Teacam, this stuff never stays in my head. Gameplay mechanics have never been my strongest subject on The Skyrim Blog syllabus. This charmingly written and funny article is very helpful to me and I'm sure I'll be referring back to it again and again.

Do you have to take the Augment (Destruction) perks before or after you enchant a weapon with Chaos Damage for it to make a difference?

    It should work either way.

    Nice guide.

Using everything i got an accompanying "fear" effect to up to level 181 lol.

Its also possible to get "absorb health" effects into the 120 range, so that dual wielding attacks become far more effective than actually chain casting grand healing.

ps - if you want to be really overpowered for some roleplay reason you can stack all three dragon masks with the vampire /werewolf glitch.

If you add a frost enchant does chaos damage also get boosted?

adding an elemental enchantment with the Augmented effect perk will NOT further increase the Chaos enchant; the Augmented element perk has already been applied, and the game will not apply it a second time).

That's a shame. Thanks for the reply though. What if you have fear+chaos damage and then get aspect of terror?

All true! This was a two holidays into one when I discovered this technique in late 2013. Very well put and explained. Really liked it!
