I've read DOTE, Straag Rod, and U.O.T.W. I'm looking for something like those, that are serious, but can make jokes. Basically anything will work, I just don't have time to read every blog and see if it's good.

I'm sure there are more blogs that fit the criteria that I (sadly) don't follow, but I can personally recommend these:
Good luck in your search :D

I'll probably start writing something BIG, only problem is I always get bored with writing at some point... also I am overly critical; it's not often I like a book, but when I do I love it! That's why I want my own stuff to be great... I am not a writer however, I am a story-teller - mabye I should make a DOTE / Straag Rod / U.O.T.W audiobook

Holy shark, I just got here and I don't know what to say! Thank you for this, my friends.
I'll second both Legends of the Skaal and A Dance with Daedra. The former has intriguing politics and seems to be focused on the Stormcloaks so far. It has amazingly dynamic characters who are so realistic you wonder how many people this 'SpottedFawn' really is. Oh, and let's not forget how the Skaal are presented in this story. They have taken on a whole new air of harmony with the world and the forces of nature.
A Dance with Daedra is weirder than anything else I've read in the Tamriel Tales... There are bandits, really creepy magick, daedric voodoo and a squirrel?? Of all things, a squirrel. Though this should not go without mention: the battle scenes, in my humble opinion, are just amazing. There is no lack of suspense, horror or humour in this story, but you may finish a few chapters with the thought, What the Hell just happened?
FishDout, you also forgot to mention a series called Deserter - or have you not read that one yet? Never mind that the main character is faceless and nameless, the reader will end up depressed on his behalf anyway. It's a tragic story with a lot of political struggle, though it's not without a few light-hearted moments.
You have a lot of options here, Lyall. I hope we haven't made it too hard for you.
