So iv been stalking this site for about half a year now reading over some of the builds presented and after testing out a few of the ideas I found I finally figured it was time I make a name for myself. Like any good build is going to give a back story, a VERY in depth building it up and a picture of the build as I made it.

So without further delay, I present to you "The Redeemer"

"Before the Great War was lost, The Empire recruited me. A soldier of the north who's resolve to the cause was as solid as iron. I knew the war was lost then so I held no grudge for the surrender that came after the loss of so many of my kin. In truth, I was looking for an honorable path to my grave. What I found was something worse than enslavement or torture, immortality. Now I use my curse to purge the world of the evil iv become "
    ~Voljurga, The Redeemer

Voljurga, The Redeemer, born into the family with a long history of honorable warriors stretching back to a time before the second era and was raised with a sword in hand and a take no prisoners attitude. In his youth, Voljurga looked up to the warriors of his homeland Skyrim. Always wanting to travel to the snow covered nation of the north and join the mighty companions and have his name etched into the history Tamriel. But his dream would have to wait as he was called upon to take up arms against the Elven armies.

It was during the war the curse was infected upon him. Called upon to clear out a cave that would have given safe passage to a legion of nearly two thousand men straight into the heart of the elven of Valenwood. Vampires, taking advantage of the war set upon am an ambush that cut through the scouting party of fifty men leaving only a handful alive before they could finally overtake and slaughter the remaining undead vermin.

Voljurga as presumed among the dead that littered the cave floor and no effort was made to find his remains or check for survivors beyond those that could walk. The cold of the cave encased and preserved his body allowing the Sanguinare Vampirism to take hold bleaching all color from his skin save the blood that drained from his eyes. It was this that saved and much as cursed him ... It wasn't for another ten years before he awoke to find the war long over and his life changed forever.

Voljurga forced to abandon everything heads north to see his life dream achieved. It's at the broader he's captured and discovers a new war that threatens to erupt into something so much worse. But the problems are more complicated then brother killing brother and before long he discovers others cursed with undeath. They threaten the living in the dead of night. An opportunity is presented to uphold his beliefs and support his brothers in arms.

The dawnguard, stand in opposition of a growing vampire plague but they will only trust Voljurga for so long before finally exiling and ultimately hunting even him.

You can join the Dawnguard as a Vampire and do the first few quests before Isran will refuse to work with you after that its up to you if you seek to be cured or just leave and fight both the Vampires and Dawnguard solders.

The Set Up ( Sorry for the poor picture quality. )

    1-Magic / 2-Health / 2-Stamina
Race: Nord / Basic Vampire [ Name: Voljurga ] Perks: Appearance, The Battle Cry, 50% Frost Resistance, +10 Two-Handed, + 5 Block, Light Armor, One-handed,

Standing Stone: The Lady Stone ( Regenerate Stamina / Health 25% faster ) [ We want this to off set being a Vampire ]

    Gear
Head: Any Silver Circlet [ Name: The Crown of Moons ] Enchantment: •Fortify Magic Regen / Fortify Magic
Chest: Stormcloak Cuirass ( Light ) [ Name: The Saviors Armor ] Enchantment: •Fortify Health  / Fortify Stamina
Hands: Dawnguard Gauntlets ( Light ) [ Name: The Saviors Gloves ] Enchantment: •Fortify Two-Handed / Fortify Block
Feet: Dawnguard Boost ( Light ) [ Name: The Saviors Boots ] Enchantment: Fortify •Two-Handed / Fortify One-Handed
Ring: Silver Ring [ Name: The Token of Secunda ] Enchantment: •Resist Fire / Resist Magic ( Fortify Health Regen is a solid second option. )
Necklace: Silver Necklace [ Name: The Token of Masser ] Enchantment: •Resist Fire / Resist Magic ( Fortify Stamina Regen is a solid second option. )

Silver Weapons: ( +20 dmg to werewolves, werebears, Vampires, Draugr, Ghosts, Skeletons and Zombies )
Main Weapon: Silver Greatsword ( Two handed ) [ Name: The Silver Flame ] Enchantment: •Damage Fire / Fiery Soul Trap  ( Counts as dealing Fire dmg. ) [ Found on "Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls" in "Ironbind Barrow" ]
Support Weapon: Silver Sword ( One handed ) [ Name: The Edge of Doubt ] Enchantment: •Fear / Turn Undead
Note: Keep "The Edge of Doubt" in the left hand because there is no draw delay in combat so you and switch from a "The Silver Flame" to "The Edge of Doubt" and be not risk an attack of opportunity from enemy's in addition the ( none moving ) standing power attack from the left hand is a stab which staggers most foes rushing you. "The Edge of Doubt" is more to keep large numbers of enemy's scatter and give you time to regroup or escape. This goes well with The Battle Cry racial ability.
Backup Weapon: Skyforged Steel Greatsword ( Two handed ) [ Name: Honered Redumption ] Enchantment: •Fear / Damage Fire
Note: Because Silver weapons can't be improved at a smith anything, not Undead might pose an issue. With the Intense Flames and Fear enchantments most living foes should flee after just one hit or bashing so hoards of enemies even with the greatswords slower swing shouldn't be an issue.

Magic: Candlelight, Magelight, Detect Life, Detect Dead, Turn Undead, Healing, Sun Fire and Fire Bolt ( You can use more but I kept the list small as magic isn't a big part of this build regardless of the perk spread. This character is trained to use more powerful spells but he should rarely need them. Although you can switch from Two-handed to One-handed and combo with a destruction spell like a Fire Bolt if you wanted with no issues. )

Perks ( Perks with ~ before them aren't 100% nessasary and can be ignored early game or all togther. )

    Enchanting Lv100 Main Perk
    Enchanter x5: [ 0 skill Lv ] [ 20 skill Lv ] [ 40 skill Lv ] [ 60 skill Lv ] [ 80 skill Lv ] New enchantments are 100% stronger. ( We can get by with just the enchantment listed with • on each item with a Lv60-80 enchanting skill. )
Fire Enchanter: [ 20 skill Lv ] [ 30 skill Lv ] Fire enchantments on weapons and armor are 25% stronger
Insightful Enchanter: [ 50 skill Lv ] Skill enchantments on armor are 25% stronger. ( This will bolster Fortify Health, Regenerate Health, Fortify Magicka, Regenerate Magicka, Fortify Stamina, and Regenerate Stamina. )
~Extra Effect: [ 100 skill Lv ] Can put two enchantments on the same item.

    Two-Handed Lv100 Main Perk

Champion's Stance: [ 20 skill Lv ] Power attacks with two-handed weapons cost 25% less stamina.

Novice Destruction: [ 0 skill Lv ] Cast Novice level Destruction spells for half magicka.
Augmented Flames x2: [ 30 skill Lv ] [ 60 skill Lv ] Fire spells do 50% more damage. ( This will effect both the Damage Fire and the Fiery Soul Trap enchantments on The Silver Flame and we need at least the first stage of this perk )
Intense Flames: [ 50 skill Lv ] Fire damage causes targets to flee if their health is low (under 20%).

Conjuration Lv30 [ Just buy the levels off a trainer ]

Novice Conjuration: [ 0 skill Lv ] Cast Novice level Conjuration spells for half magicka.
~Mystic Binding [ 20 skill Lv ]~ [ We don't need but must take this perk to get the next ]
Soul Stealer: [ 30 skill Lv ] Bound weapons cast Soul Trap on targets.
Note: We don't really NEED either perk for the build itself BUT to maximize the effect of the enchantment Fiery Soul Trap we want both. This with a high Conjuration skill level can give 1000+ charge's to "The Silver Flame"'s enchantments making the weapon even MORE valuable.

Restoration Lv70 [ Just buy the levels off a trainer ] ( This is an optiona perk tree and shouldn't be considered a requirment by any means. )

~Custom fit [ 30 skill Lv ]~ [ We don't need but must take this perk to get the next ]
~Unhindered: [ 50 skill Lv ] Light Armor weighs nothing and doesn't slow you down when worn.

    Perk placing Lv:1-10
    Barbarian: x1 [ 0 skill Lv ]
    Barbarian: x2 [ 20 skill Lv ]
    Champion's Stance: [ 20 skill Lv ]

Enchanter: OR Barbarian: x5 [ 80 skill Lv ] ( it depends on your play needs which you should take )
Extra Effect: [ 100 skill Lv ] ( if you can get it )
    Sweep: [ 70 skill Lv ]
    Augmented Flames x2: [ 60 skill Lv ] ( Buy the skill )
Note: Past lv27 Its not so much about what perks you NEED to take as what you WANT to take. You've maxed the basic's and the rest just support the build. Its also not as important what perks are taken within each set of levels ( 1-10 / 11-20 / 21+ ) as long as you don't over level a skill and take perks you can't make effective use of. At lower levels your pretty much just a brute with a sword so its around lv10+ you start picking up the real skills needed. You can work on echanting to lv40 before character lever 10 and not take to much of a suffering but you'll find you might want the brut force over the extra burn damage. Espically if you don't have the enchantments.

Factions to join: Companions & Imperial legion. You can do the Dragonborn quest line but really its not going to within the characters play style to want to fight dragons.

Role Play: Voljurga will join the companions before anything else working towards getting a nice stockpile of 5-7 silverhand swords and great sword for enchanting. You'll want to enchant a new Silver greatsword about very 20 enchanting levels and it is a good idea to at that point re-enchant new gear too just to stay on top of the game. Voljurga won't become a werewolf, instead doing odd jobs for them as requested/able. He'll also refuse the offer of becoming a Vampire lord seeing that as the ultimate decoration of mortality. If you seek out a cure to finish off the Dawnguard quest line before doing the soul Carn for role play purposes and to avoid the steep loss of Magic/Health/Stamina get infected with Sanguinare Vampiris again. Ironically however Voljurga will seek to help the ghosts in the soul Carn if possible.

Voljurga will seek out any form of undead and put it to the sword but doesn't have any real issue with werewolves or other Vampires as long as they remain composed and none violent and for vampires that means not feeding on blood. He will however actively hunt Hag Ravens, Witch's and Necromancers or anything that dead I the undead. This also means he'll avoid using his own vampiric ability's save for night vision as much as he ca and he'll NEVER feed.

In combat, he'll rush enemies wanting to avoid a prolonged fight and using fear effects to keep enemy's scattered and manageable in a 1-v-1 encounter. While he does have magic and we are investing in it, it is in his nature to avoid it as much as we can. He's no fool though so if faced with something like a Dragon Priest he will switch to a one-handed sword and the Turn Undead spell in order to keep it staggered while he attempts to hit it as many times as he can before he runs out of mana. This is more or less his hidden ace in the hole. Imagine facing a vampire he's studied your fighting type and thinks he's got you beat only to suddenly find himself outmatched because of the weakest of turn undead spells and he had no idea you could cast it.

Voljurga won't use a bow but he might dabble in illusion if you really want to go a darker path with the character build and while he does know Detect Life/Dead He doesn't use it unless he's inside enemy territory's and trying to escape capture or that pesky vampire's turned invisible and running away.

Combat Basic: Stay moving. You want to be as hard to hit as possible. Even with Bolstered Health your more or less a glass cannon. Don't stay in one place and use natual cover such as rocks or tree's as obstacles to keep enemy NPC's divided. NPC's can't jump, they'll go around anything in their path so use that to pull warriors away from archers. Whe attacking a fort just get their attention, rush back out and let the warriors come to you. This keeps archers out of your threat zone and allowes you to cut down Tanks before rushing in to cut down the much weaker archers.

1-v-1 Combat: Over all rushing in with power attackss is the most effective way of cuting down most weak enemies on the road and as a former imperal solder thats your go to tactic. If you see an enemy its just smart to attack them before they can mount an offeinsive. Sneaking through caves and dungeons you'll take most single foes off guard and cut through them before they can even draw their weapons. This can draw the attantion ot support though so be careful. If your going to ambush a crowd its smart to hit the biggest SOB first and use The Battle Cry to scatter the rest, this works well in dunguans or when attacking a fort. You can hunt the coward down after you've dealt with the Tanks.

Ranged Combat: Really you want to avoid archers as much as possible and mages even more. There is no real way to fight these guys off other then to rush into the thick of it and take out any Fire mages first. Archers aren't to big of an issue because you'll always be on the move and they'll have very little armor but mages move faster and can heal to some degree. Its smart to keep poisons that can paralyze or drain magic. If your faced with a Hag Raven your going to need this most of all because they almost always use fire spells and as a vampire your tokens can only suppress so much of that damage. Dragons .. honestly i just run on higher difficulty's because iv yet to find a really effective way to put them down without risking life and limb.

Crowd Combat: Your fear effects such as The Battle Cry are the KEY to victory. You'll hold the advanatge if your ambushig them but if your taken off guard and suddnely find yourself out numbered and can't use The Battle Cry, switch to your one-handed silver sword in the left with a Fire Bolt in th right. Run away and make them come to you. First one to home base gets a nice fear enchanted silver sword to the face and a firebolt to the back. Repeat as you need or power attack with your Skyforged Steel greatsword the "Honered Redumption" and make use of its Damage Fire and Fear enchantments.

Well, that's it, folks. I hope you like the build and iv LOVE the feedback to improve him if you've got any ideas ?
(BTW formating on here is a meager pain in the ass, just adding three images took 2 hours WTF ? And i still couldn't set any images to the left or right. they HAD to be centered. )

Hi Over Lord and welcome to CB. It's great that you are taking the plunge and everything seems to be in order so far save a few things.

    1. We could use an expanded gameplay section. Like, how do you tackle certain enemies that sort of thing.

    2. We already have a build named the Exorcist. By Noodles. So, I'd change the name.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding your build. You can send me a friend request. :)

If you're looking to improve a build, the Workshop is always open (I would provide a link, but I'm on my phone, and the text editor here is hellish). I am curious, though, as to why he would join the Legion yet still wear Stormcloak armor. And this is suuuuper nit-picky, but there are some grammatical and spelling errors that you may wish to fix.

It was more for the look. I tried out other armor like leather, fur and even the dawnguard's but nothin caught my eye and short of killing hold guards and trying on their armors i figured this was the best i could do. Plus its easily replacable without a whole lot of trouble. He could just as easily join the Rebels, though that would alter his view of the great war and this his backstoy.

As for the spelling, yeah i know but my spell check doesn't work on here and i have dyslexia and over look most X~X.

Hmm, you want input. Well, I always tend to offer input by flipping it on its head and turning it back to the builder. Do you think you have communicated the vision of your build effectively. If they follow what you have presented, do you think they will have the same excitement you had? See, the way I see it, I don't need to tell you what I like in a build. To learn that, all you have to do is check out my builds and you'll know. That being said, I'm not going to force your to like what I like in builds because that's not how building, IMO, works. It's about sharing your vision, your experience, not spoon-feeding to you what I like to see.

    Does that make any sense?

Hey, Overlord, nice to see a few face getting a build up. Pretty good for a first build(much better than my first, if you ask me). And I'm so glad you used silver weaponry. I feel it's so overlooked and underrated. The only discrepancy I see than Wu and Liss didn't mention is the lack of a perkspread. There's nothing technically wring with that because you do still have all the perks, but it would make it look a bit nicer and better organized. If you need help making one, I'd be glad to help. You can friend me and message me any time.

    Hey! Welcome to the site!

This looks pretty cool although I'd add a gameplay section, a few paragraphs which explain how you combined all those perked skills into your play style. I see you've briefly explained some of these things in the role play section so you have a start. Other than that, I'd recommend adding some pictures. They don't have to look fancy, but a couple screenshots inserted here and there do wonders to your presentation. Other than that, it's cool. I especially like that you've shared with us the names of your enchanted gear.

I suppose once im finish cooking ima get started on detailing how he confront's anything not undead lol. Because honestly he's So OP against the undead not much stands up to more then a few blows. Its the living NPC's that do give th biggest challange.

If you're worried about spelling and grammar due to your dyslexia, Grammarly does wonders with catching errors. It even comes with American/European settings. :D I abuse the app to no end. Thing must hate me by now.
