It comes, slithery and slimy from the depths.  It comes from the land of Thras across the sea, bringing plague and pestilence to all who venture here… It is here… The…

An entity of such incredible power and menace that none can stop it. RUN! Well, yes, run, because while the Varg’Ette is dangerous, it is also slow as a slug using the Slow Time shout. Then don’t run. Stay, stay and bask in the glory of the entity known as Varg’Ette.

    Isn’t he just cute?

Okay, enough evil slimy goodness. Hello everyone, and welcome to Skyrim Character Building.   With all the recent changes to the site, including the hosts of this group, Lissette and I thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves to the community and give you a little back ground on us, and how we got here.

In case you haven’t guessed I’m Vargr, officially Vargr White-Tree, and I’ve been a member since June 2015 and an avid lurker for about two years before then.   I discovered the vault in 2013 when I was looking up necromancer builds, and if you are familiar with some of my contributions to the vault (cough Necronomicon cough) you’ll know that I never quite kicked my grave-digging habit.   I played a few characters, finished the game and the two DLC’s then moved on to other games.  I thought that was the end of Skyrim for me since that has been my pattern in games.   However, every game I played since I’ve found myself invariable thinking about how I would do this, that, or the other thing if the game I was playing was Skyrim.

Eventually I returned to Skyrim in 2015 after giving up some other time consuming hobbies (Warhammer 40k and Warmachine/Hordes).   This was mainly due to a new addition to my family and my need to be present for all the amazing moments and adventures of parenthood.   This meant that the easiest past time was video games which could be worked around my schedule (well my daughter’s schedule).   It was this focus that led me to experiment with new ways of playing the game, and trying out new character builds.   Eventually I got it into my head to write up and post the builds that I was playing.   So after a little more than a year, and 14 character builds, I’m now one of the hosts of Skyrim Character Building.

I’m on the Vault almost every day and I try to read just about every new build that gets posted.  Recently I’ve been making an effort to be more active in the Workshop which I see as a “gateway” group that leads to stellar content being posted in many other groups.   Feel free to send me a friend request and hit me up for build advice, or anything really.   I have a wide range of interests and passions I just limit them to Skyrim around here.

I am the Ette of this outfit. But, I’m officially Lissette Long-Chapper and if you’re a regular member of the Vault, you’ll know why I am called by that name or just simply “The Long-Chapper”. I’ve been a member since 2014, but only as a Lurker. I took my official plunge into the Vault’s world by posting my story Straag Rod over at the Story Corner in 2015 and I’ve not looked back since.

I’m a college professor and a teacher of singing by trade and I use gaming and Skyrim as a way to relax from the stress that is my profession, though sometimes my ranting and raving may not suggest that. I came to Skyrim late in the game, 2013, but I’ve got about 4000 hours on it, according to Steam. HAHA. I tend to not play other games for very long, as I don’t think I’ve exhausted Skyrim quite yet. I’ve played all sorts of characters, but my longest lived is my Knight-Paladin that my story is based on.

The Story Corner was my home on the Vault for a good long while and I became host of that group early this year along with my friend on the plains, Sotek. I was always interested in Character Building and have played Skyrim just about every which way, including sideways, and modded, but it took an Event in Character Building for me to finally dive in this new chaos. A lusty Argonian maid with a rather lewd fondness for staves and scrolls *sighs* was my submission for the event and a monster was born. I followed it up with my first Contest build and recreated my vision of a Dwemer returning to Tamriel. Yeah, only two builds to my name, but… I am still actively building with several projects in the Workshop, and like Vargr, you’ll catch me there quite a bit when I’m not writing or working on reformatting or archiving tags. I look forward to continuing to write and build, to share my visions with you and to help you in any way that I can with yours.  Feel free to leave a comment on my page on the Vault or send me a friend request or a message for bouncing back and forth ideas.

We both look forward to where Character Building can go.

It's been a couple of weeks since I've had time to visit the site... it appears that CB is shaking things up a bit?

One way or the other, I'm certain that Varg'Ette is the right creature for the job. Thanks for stepping up... where would we be without our group hosts? ;D

It's been a pleasure seeing you both around the site. I have lurked for a long time, and with well over 3000 hours into this game between my 360 saves, and my many PC ones, I realize I have much more to share than I have thus far. It will be a continued pleasure seeing more of all 3 of you, especially with the remaster release imminent. Ta. <3

And mark my words friend, Garkus, if you don't think CB has something planned for that, you'd be mistaken. Teasers will come sooooooooon.

I've been working on a build that I'll be posting (possibly tonight), but I have a few special things planned for the release, and onward. I just need to throw together an equipment and perk spread. Truthfully, I haven't finished everything I'd have liked to on it, but the build itself is complete, and it's certainly a fun character to play, especially if you like to hit things with a really, REALLY big axe. Think I'll get to work on that. Look for it, friends, but don't critique it too hard. I have special things planned. Oh, yes. Very special.

I can actually picture you twirling your mustache, if you had one at the words "Oh, yes. Very special".

The Sload shall dominate in a way never before seen in Tamriel.

    AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE AXES!!!

*runs around her computer roaring loudly flailing and squeeing*

    TWO-HANDED!

Disclaimer: I understand and acknowledge that people may not love axes. The community of Character Building *cough* Lordship of Varg'Ette *cough* Character Building is an all-inclusive place. All are welcome...

I just posted. It's probably too wordy, and rough at best (not exactly my most unique idea, but definitely one of my more fun ones). But, now that it's done, I can begin working on the next one. Mwahahaha....

    *Mustache twirling commences*

I saw, I saw, and I commented. May wanna hold out on that mustache twirling for a wee spell. You are missing something.

Pasted the wrong link there by accident. It's fixed now. I got lazy; usually I'd have done the thing I forgot. Haha. But, it's at least there now. Just not pretty.

Was wondering why the two links linked to the same thing.
