This is one of my favorite characters to play. This build will wreak havoc upon any foe he comes across. This build does most of the factions out there, except a select few. (I'm looking at you, thieves guild) The Lore and Backstory to this character is quite interesting, I think you will like it. Or, at least, I hope.

                            The Last Dragon Priest

A mage with power like no other, Konahrik is truly a force to be reckoned with. A priest of any element (Your choice, can be fire, frost, shock, all three) combining the powers of staves, daggers, and pure powerful magicks, the Last Dragon Priest is truly a force to behold. In combat, he first activates a flesh spell, followed by an elemental cloak of choice, followed by an atronach of the same element. He uses naught but the most powerful magick to beat his enemies, which include Dragons, other Dragon Priests, bandits, and everyone that does not Bend to his Will.

Backstory: Like every other priest in the Dragon Cult, Konahrik was a mage of immense power and skill. He was second only to Alduin in terms of strength: the other priests feared him, frightened he may overthrow Alduin. One day, in the process of commanding his Nordic army from the bowels of his temple, he noticed a loud sound of yells, roars, and the pure, loud, mighty sound of the Thu'um from above. He ran up to the surface, and saw a priest fleeing from a horde of Dragons: Miraak. Suddenly, Miraak turned, and shouted five words. "Kronlein! Ziil, los dii du!"

There was a great roar and a bronze-scaled dragon fell to the ground, disintegrating. The Dragon's soul flew from its skeleton and into Miraak: Miraak then vanished in an explosion of green tentacles. Konahrik liked the rebellion Miraak had shown. For the next few days, he sat in the depths of his temple, being disturbed by no-one, putting together his plan. He turned while in the middle of creating a shout that could destroy a Dragon completely, when there was a triumphant "Ha!" from behind him. Nahkriin and Morokei were stood behind him. They shouted shouts repeatedly: "Yol Toor Shul!" "Fus Ro Dah!" Eventually Konahrik was beaten. Nahkriin grabbed Konahrik by the shoulders and sealed him tight in a draugr's sarcophagus.

Many centuries later, Konahrik awoke from the deep sleep Nahkriin had placed him in, following Alduin's return. He had no mask, no staff, no robes, no knowledge of the Thu'um. He had forgotten. He remembered all that had happened in his life, all but learning the Thu'um. He left his ruined tomb, confused, trying to shout. Then suddenly, an armored woman clanked him on the head with a sword hilt, and threw him into a carriage with some other prisoners: he was taken to Helgen. There, his old master appeared, saw him, and attempted to kill Konahrik, who barely escaped alive.

    Lore Extract:

"During the Merethic Era, Dragon Priests kept the population enthralled and obedient by means of a widespread dragon-worshipping cult, and many people of this era became the undead draugr that still prowl the crypts of Skyrim, Solstheim, Atmora, and anywhere else the dragon priests "kept peace between dragons and men".The center of power in Skyrim of this dragon empire is thought to have been Bromjunaar, where dragon priests decided matters of their law.

Nordic legend holds that Alduin led his brethren and their once-benevolent minions to terrorize and subjugate the mortal races, triggering a rebellion. The dragons began indiscriminately slaughtering them under the orders of Alduin, who had chosen to forsake his proper duties and conquer the land.

During this Dragon War, mortals found ways to kill the dragons, who were previously thought undefeatable. Some people, notably priests of the Nine Divines, claim that Akatosh intervened against the dragons to help end the war, and that some dragons fought against their own kind. the dragon Paarthurnax took pity on the Nords (purportedly at the request of Kyne), and instructed several in the ways of the thu'um so that they could channel the power of their own voices using the tongue of the dragons. These first Tongues (masters of the Voice) used their new power to turn the tide of the war, and they eventually "shout[ed] Alduin out of the world".The remaining dragons were hunted and killed until they were nearly extinct, clearing the way for the many empires which have risen and fallen since."

Recommended Quests: Main Quest, Dragonborn (For learning Miraak's secrets, and more importantly, to be able to raise a Dragon Army) College of Winterhold, Dawnguard (Join the Dawnguard) Daedric Quests (Optional)

Standing Stone: The Lord. This gives you more magic resistance, which can be very helpful, and also adds 50pts to your armour rating (Dandy!).

    Major Skills

Destruction. This skill is mainly used for the firing angry bolts of your elemental choice. I cannot provide information on this one due to the fact that I do not choose for you: Konahrik can be any type of priest you want. Also can be used for cloaks.

Alteration. This skill is only used for activating armour spells, as Konahrik wears no armour but his mask. All Dragon Priests activate an armour spell at the beginning of battle. Notable Spells: Ebonyflesh, Ironflesh

Conjuration. This skill is used for atronach's of your element. Choose wisely. Remember: Flame = Ranged, Frost = Melee, Shock = Hybrid. This skill can also be used for command daedra spells, as the Dragon Priests all do that, too. Notable Spells: Summon of choice, Command Daedra, Conjure Wrathman (Dead Servant)

    Minor Skills

Restoration. This skill is used for conjuring wards, but can also be used for healing. Wards are generally not very popular, but when used with this build can be truly useful. Notable Spells: Greater Ward, Fast Healing

One-Handed. This skill is used when your magicka supply hits rock bottom. Use it for wielding your custom Dragon Priest dagger effectively.

Enchanting. This skill is used for enchanting your weapon and ring. Not essential, but advisable.

    The Equipment

There are three elemental paths one can take for this build: The Path of Fire, The Path of Frost, and The Path of Shock. These paths decide which spells you will use, and which apparel you wear.

    The Path of Fire

    The Path of Frost

    And Finally,The Path of Shock

    Path Notes:

Enchant the Gold Ring with Fortify Magicka.

In the Path of Frost, Enchant the Boots with Resist Frost.

In the Path of Frost, Enchant the Gauntlets with Fortify Magicka -OR- Fortify One-Handed.

    Other Stuff

Weapon: Staff of Fireball, Dragon Priest Dagger (Rename Odahviing's Fang, Enchant with Damage of your choice)

Race: Nord. All known Dragon Priests were Nords, so is this one.

    Stat Distribution: 2/3/0.

    Followers: Illia/Marcurio

Shouts: Dragon Aspect, Fire Breath, Frost Breath, Whirlwind Sprint, Unrelenting Force, Become Ethereal, Storm Call, Call Dragon, Summon Durnehviir, Cyclone, Dragonrend

    Gameplay

I have a specific battle strategy for this build. First, activate Ebonyflesh, then my cloak of choice, followed by the atronach of the same element. Then I back up and began shooting off bolts of my assigned element. Running low on magicka means I take out my staff, and at close range my lovely dagger. Below are some abilities this build uses. First of all, though, this build DOES require an exploit if to be at its most powerful. Follow the instructions below:

    1. Find an amulet of Talos, a circlet, a ring, a necklace, and some gloves.

    2. Enchant the apparel with fortify alchemy 25%.

    3. Gain a yellow mountain flower, and 2 Abecean Longfin.

    4. Craft a potion with the above ingredients.

    5. The potions effect should be Fortify Restoration 150%.

    6. Go to a shrine of Talos, equip his amulet, and activate the shrine.

    UNLIMITED POWER

    Abilities:

Ultimate Armageddon. Storm Call + Call Dragon + Summon Durnehviir

This ability is the ultimate source of damage. Feel free to use it in the middle of Solitude.

Rage of the Dovah. Fire/Frost Breath + Unrelenting Force + Fireball (s)

Use this on the big guys: Giants, Trolls, Bandit Chiefs, etc.

Flight of the Dovahkiin. Become Ethereal + Whirlwind Sprint (s)

Use this when faced with something to powerful for you to defeat.

Battle Ready. Dragon Aspect + Become Ethereal + Storm Call

    Role-Playing this Build

This character is the ultimate power hungry villain, using dragons as his minions, followers as his worshipers, and summons as his slaves. Ultimate Evil! He will do anything for a bit of power and control, and is even willing to sacrifice his loyal helpers for the cause. Here's some advice on how to Roleplay as this evil dude.

    City Invasions and Taking Control

As the character wants to rule all of Skyrim, there is definite forecasts of heavy storms, dragon rain, and some slight death. He uses a small army: A Follower + Odahviing + Durnehviir + Durnehviir's Summons + A Thrall (Durnehviir counts as a conjured creature) = An army of eight (Including You). Not many cities stand a chance. When invading cities, I advise you to start small! Your army isn't as practiced nor efficient on it's first huge battle. Start off with places like Morthal or Dawnstar. Remember: Your character wants to rule Skyrim, not kill off the country ENTIRELY. The main objective of a city invasion is to reach the Jarl's residence, and use "Bend Will" on the person in charge. This is purely for Roleplay, as you can pretend that the Jarl is under your control and will obey you and rule the Hold how YOU want it.

P.S: For maximum coolness, use Storm Call in city invasions. Armageddon!
And that just about concludes my Build! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks to Lee and Relycs for making the spreads, and thank you for reading. Any advice in the replies would be much appreciated!

Awesome work, though I feel that bolding should only be used to emphasis certain words, or for headers

Thanks! Though I am sorry to say that if I un-bold the things I have bolded then people start complaining. On my Mannimarco I had several people telling me it was too hard to read without the Bolding, so I'll leave it. But if more people agree with you, then I'll fix the bolding.

Looks like a good build but it looks like the path of flame is very underrated seeing as it has crappy armor and crappier enchantments. Maybe use other items for this.

    Mmm...

Okay, do you have any other armors that could suit the Look for a Dragon Priest? or should I just keep the Cultist set but write the enchantments below?

Hmmm, perhaps Ahzidal's armor set, it would help this guy a little and balance flame out with frost and storm.

For a MAGE? Are you sure? I actually tested all the paths myself, and I got to 48 in flame on Expert, 39 on Frost on Adept, and 45 on Shock on Master. It worked okay for me :)

Congrats man, you have officially left the building cocoon!

One thing I noticed by the way, however

"He uses a small army (Follower + Odahviing + Durnehviir + Durnehviir's Summons + Two Thralls = An army of eight."

Durnehviir counts towards your summon limit, therefore you cannot have Durnehviir and two thralls out at once.

You earned my like for the huge improvement +1.

    Yay!

And YEAH, I'll fix that later.

So will I re-write it as A Thrall instead of 2 thralls?
