    The Jester of Madness

The Jester utilities stealth, magic, and melee combat in every situation. He loves to make things go BOOM. The Jester laughs about his enemies suffering and finds it amusing and entertaining. He is an evil soul that always has a prank to pull and a joke to tell.

    The Basics

    Race: Imperial or Breton.

Imperial because they are pretty plain and ,also their daily power is nice early on. However if you wanted you could be a Breton for extra resistance to magic.

    Stone: The Shadow Stone

Any of the three starting ones work for this character until you can get The Lover for leveling the wide skill range in this build. Then get the Shadow for stealth purposes and one of the Special Abilities.

ShoutsMarked for Death, Elemental Fury, Fire Breath,Mora's Agony

All of these are used for special abilities and are nice by themselves as well. Also I fell that they fit the theme of the character well.

    Spells:  Flames>Firebolt>Fireball and Fury>Frenzy

I stopped at Adept level on purpose. There are various reasons why and to list a few: Illusion is redundant after Adept level as long as you have Dual Casting, and Fireball is the primary spell of this build. Sadly none of the others are as explosive and nothing says Jester like lots of explosions.

    Skills: Destruction,One-Handed,Illusion,Light Armor,Sneak

This build relies mostly on magic and stealth but has the capability to fight melee.

    Perks:  Destruction:(Novice-Adept Destruction,Augmented Flames 2/2,Intense Flames.)

    Illusion:(Novice-Adept Illusion,Illusion Dual Casting,Animage,Kindred Mage,Quiet Casting,Master of the Mind,Hypnotic Gaze,Aspect of Terror,Rage.)

    One-Handed:(Armsman 5/5,Dual Flurry 2/2,Dual Savagery,Fighting Stance,Critical Charge,Paralyzing Strike.)

    Light Armor:(Agile Defender 5/5.)

    Sneak:(Stealth 5/5,Muffled Movement,Light Foot,Silent Roll,Backstab,Deadly Aim,Assassin's Blade.)

    Stats: 2:2:1

    Equipment

    Cicero's Hat:

The hat gives you the right appearance and the right bonuses. You can't have a Jester build without Cicero's hat.

    Ancient Shrouded Armor:

Goes well with Cicero's hat appearance-wise and it has useful bonuses.

    Ancient Shrouded Gloves:

Like the Shrouded armor it goes well with the character and it's equipment.

    Ancient Shrouded Boots:

When wearing these and the rest of the set combined with perks, powers, and Sneak you are practically undetectable.

    Dual Unechanted Daedric Daggers:

Sadly the Blade of Woe doesn't fit into this build because it doesn't work with Elemental Fury,so this is the next best thing.

    Wabbajack:

Fits perfectly with the prankster, mischievous, devilish theme of the character. I recommend using it sparingly because it can be overpowered and will take away from the build if you use it too much.

    Nightweaver's band:

Gives you that extra bonus you need to be a shadow-stalking,devil worshiping, cult following, evil Jester you always knew you could be!

    Savos Aren's Amulet:

For balancing out the stats and such, pretty straightforward.

    Gameplay

Combat: Combat opens with a sneak attack or Frenzy, and often ends in a BOOM (Fireball/Fire Breath). When things get tough Wrath of Sithis is good for taking out small hordes and Art of Silence can be used to escape if things get too ugly. When dealing with one or two hard enemies the Wabbajack is handy for quickly disposing of them. When fighting your average enemy it is best to use the daggers and Slicing Cardtrick. A good tactic when fighting a boss or hardened enemy is to use Art of Silence to get behind them and then attack them from behind while sneaking almost guarantees their death.

Quests: Dark Brotherhood,College of Winterhold,Thieves Guild (Optional),Main Questline,Dragonborn Questline,(sadly neither of the Dawnguard questlines.),and side quests. Mostly up to you but the above are some pointers.

Roleplaying: Always intimidate if you have the choice. Try to be stealthy with your kills. If that fails then use Fire Show. Use your Abilities as often as possible because they are a huge part of this character. Try to take quests that involve crime. If you wanted you could get a follower and dress him up in Cicero's Outfit (Except the hat, that is yours.) and the Jester's Hat. A duo of evil clowns is pretty cool. However you may want them to be a Dunmer because of your fireball spells, they will likely die if you don't take some precaution to protect them.

    Abilities

    Slicing Cardtrick

    Elemental Fury+Dual Flurry+Dual Savagery

The hand is quicker than the eye. Slice your enemies to mincemeat before they draw their weapon.

     Art of Silence

    The Shadow Stone+Silent Roll+Muffled Movement

The Art of Silence is a deadly one. Disappear without a trace and reappear elsewhere.

    Fire Show

    Fire Breath+Dual Cast Fireball

You once entertained others by setting yourself on fire. Now you entertain yourself by setting others on fire.

    A few words...

Thanks to Dragonborn1721 for his help with this build (my first). And thanks to Lyall for telling me about the Imperial Luck glitch. Also thank you Golden Fool for the equipment spread. Please give me your feedback. Also I am undecided on what tags to add so if anyone has any ideas.

Imperial because they are pretty plain and ,also their daily power is nice early on

'Scuse me?  Imperials are not plain and VotE is one of the best powers in the game imo.

Fits perfectly with the prankster, mischievous, devilish theme of the character. I recommend using it sparingly because it can be overpowered and will take away from the build if you use it too much.

I disagree, the Wabbajack is powerful but I think it is balanced well enough. Have you seen Henson's Wabbajack: The Probability of Awesome? It is a very good article.

I like this, not a bad first build at all. It needs a bit of tightening up though. The Apocrypha themed spread hints at a link between Mora and Madness, would have liked to have seen that explored more.

Yeah like I said about the Wabbajack it CAN be overpowered. However I suppose I really mean it can be used to avoid fighting mudcrabs and getting a sweetroll out of the deal

Also I wanted to do some kind of "link" as you said but I don't have the story writing skills to make a backstory that could do such a thing. If you wanted/had the time you could write one though and I would use it.

I would suggest adding a perkspread, if you need one just post a picture you want it on and I'll whip that up for you. Also give me some time to check some lore and I would be happy to make some backstory etc for that link
