"Back when he was young, the Trapper was a good and very perseptive child. He was the only son of a Breton mage and a Nord huntress - his father however died shortly after his birth. Growing up he was always eager to make his mother proud, as she was the only thing remaining in his life. But times changed, and when the Thalmor found out that his beloved mother prayed to Talos they were seperated - he was taken to an orphanage, located far away from Skyrim - his mother was executed. Thus a harsh time began for the boy as he was now being supervised and brainwashed by the Thalmor and eventually went insane over the years."

He takes a deep breath - cold, fresh air. Finally freedom, after almost 50 years of imprisonment. And he has but one goal: Going back to Skyrim, to honor and avenge his mother. And he can feel the live essence in his heart again, as soon as his his foot crosses the border of Skyrim.

Crossing the border the Trapper stumbles upon a small group of soldiers, the Stormcloaks, and is eventually captured and taken to Helgen. This is where his new life begins.

The Trapper is a sneak type character - not the usual assassin, but rather a manipulative and cunning one. His goal is to place down magical traps and then lure his enemies into stepping on them.

Race: Breton or Nord (comes down to your personal preference). Be sure to make him look old - I made mine look very thin and dirty because of his long "imprisonment" + I gave him a long, grey beard and long, wild hair.

Birthsign: The Lover, The Shadow, The Serpent and The Lord - all good options.

    Stats: 2/1/1

Major Skills: Sneak, Archery, Destruction, Illusion. He picked up Sneak and Archery from his mother, the magical abilities are inherited from his father.

Minor Skills: Light Armor, Enchanting, Alchemy (I didn't use it because I suck at Alchemy)

Armor: Go with something a hunter would wear: I startet off with Fur Armor (if you have trouble finding one of the rare helmets, check out White River Watch) and later upgraded to a set of Skaal Armor. Note: If you are running mods that add a matching set, go for it - the vanilla sets have a low armor rating. I would also recommend to enchant your armor to make destruction magic cost less.

Weapon: You will be wielding a bow of your choice - i was rocking a Nordic Bow enchanted with paralysis. Worth a look: Dwarven Black Bow of Fate, Glass Bow of the Stag Prince, and of course Zephyr.

Spells: The Rune spells (Fire, Frost, Shock, Frenzy) I actually wanted to include the Ash and Poison Rune as well - however levelling the required skills was giving me quite a hard time (after all you are a sneek character, so usually there should be no reason to use the flesh and healing spells). Before you get to use the spells just go with the normal destruction/illusion spells. A good addition would be the Invisibility spell. Note: If you use the Apocalypse Magic Pack, I can only recommend the Ghostwalk spell.

Shouts: Throw Voice is essential, but apart from that, you can choose whatever you like.

Major Perks only: Spend the rest on whatever perks you want ;)

Roleplay: The Trapper was heavily marked by the mental tricks of the Thalmor and hence has grown an immense hatred towards all elven races, so whenever you come across one of them, be sure to pick the rudest available dialogue option. Always be helpful towards your own kind and do smaller quests for them. If you happen to come across Thalmor soldiers, go ahead and crush them; or at least spit at them if you get a bounty ;)

Quests: Here are some Quests I would recommend doing: Main Quest, Dragonborn, Civil War with the Stormcloaks (you want to free Skyrim from the Dragon plague, the danger coming from Solstheim and the Imperials). Factionwise I would do the College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood are optional. Other fitting Quests I found were Kyne's Sacred TrialsMissing in ActionThe Forsworn Conspiracy.

Combat: The rules of combat for the Trapper are farely easy. You want to lay down your trap in a good position, then pull them into the deadly surprise with either the help of your bow or your Throw Voice shout. Manipulate them and let them slay their friends, just... just DO IT.

Addition: This character is suited to be played as a vampire. If you choose to do so, do the whole Dawnguard questline - it's fun :) The buff to Illusion magic and sneak is a great thing to have, especially at lower levels. Note: If you plan to play as a vampire, definately give your character two different eye colors - the vampiric glow makes them look absolutely brutal.

Thank you for reading through this - I hope I didn't miss anything important :/

Please forgive me, if there are any typos or other language based mistakes. Oh, yeah and this is actually my very first attempt to create a build :)
