Thanks man, glad you like it. There were two key reasons for incorporating Enchanting:
1. Because it's in line with the lore established in Makela Leki's memory stone. The selected passage refers to weapons and armor of power, as well as rings implied to be enchanted or magically charged. The gear here cannot be found pre-enchanted in random loot, so the only way *not* to use Enchanting (while still following that canon source as closely as possible) would have been to use a different armor set. I already touched upon why I decided against that option in my reply to asgard.
2. Because I wanted to buff the Shehai to its fullest potential. The Montalion uses the same potion as this guy, but he gets the added bonus of Necromage to boost magnitude and duration. Without adding Enchanting, the Ansei's Shehai would have been weaker than the Montalion's spirit-blade, which was something I specifically wanted not to happen. The Shehai are supposed to be downright mythic in their power, and Enchanting to me was necessary to achieve that effect. It takes the Shehai from "viable endgame weapon" to "legendary, scythe-through-wheat killing machine."
Also, a third but sightly less prevalent reason: Just in terms of gameplay, Enchanting was really helpful to bolster the pace of character advancement in the late game. When you combine it with Conjuration, it actually probably took me less time to get from level 25-40 than it did to get from level 10-25. Without Enchanting, this would have been more like a level 30-35 build, which doesn't imply the scope I wanted this build to offer.
